Orange you glad you bought a piece of art from Adam Hays?
By day, I'm a tattoo artist and the owner of Red Rocket Tattoo in New York City.
When I'm not working on people, my primary medium is ink, watercolor, and liquid acrylic on paper. I consider my tattoo and painting styles to be "illustrative traditional," and I am inspired by comic book art and other dork stuff (mainly Star Wars), Western art (I grew up in West Texas), Native American culture, art nouveau, and Japanese tattooing, among other things. I'm also obsessed with the color orange.
I started an Etsy shop to sell prints of my paintings, as well as some originals. Two years ago, I started doing screenprints as well. I was printing in my living room but recently moved into a workshop space outside my apartment, which should mean considerably less dog hair stuck to the finished product. You're welcome.
I am a tattoo artist and tattoo shop owner, raised in West Texas and currently living in Brooklyn, New York.
