5 out of 5 starsThis is the second time I requested paintings from Adriane. The paintings are perfect - modern and unique - and both times Adriane was responsive and thoughtful. Experiences like this are what will keep me returning to Etsy. Thanks, Adriane, and congrats to you and your family.

ADOP takes place in a tiny corner or my living room, where I paint while I am surrounded by toys (and a cheeky toddler).
How ADOP came to be
I started ADOP after being home with my (amazing) baby Benjamin for a few months, and finding myself going a little stir crazy. I had always loved painting, and had just needed the time to get a shop started...so everything fell into place for me. I've been lucky to have had wonderful customers on a regular basis ever since! Now I spend my time raising my little guy, and working on ADOP in every spare second that I have.
In 2012 I have been featured in Style at Home Magazine, House and Home Magazine, and several design blogs. I have also worked with many Interior Designers to create the perfect pieces for their projects. More recently I have started working with a few small boutique owners to have ADOP available in their stores. I'm so excited to see where I can take this little shop of mine!
In the next few months I have plans to take my children's line in a new direction, which I'm very excited about! Stay tuned!
I also write a lifestyle blog, www.aandbstories.com, where I talk about our family, the shop, my obsession with interior design, and a little bit of just about everything else. Come say hello!

Adriane Duckworth
Owner, Maker, Designer, Artist
Hi there! My name is Adriane, and I started selling my paintings on Etsy in the fall of 2011. I've been loving it ever since! My paintings are modern abstract pieces, and I also have a line of modern artwork for kids' spaces and nurseries.
Shop policies
Abstract and kids/nursery paintings are available in all sizes of canvas, and custom options are available. If you can't find what you are looking for in the current selection of abstract or nursery paintings, please contact me (adriane.duckworth@gmail.com) and I will create a listing for you. Commission requests are welcome at all times, and new paintings will be added all the time, so check back often!

Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
Please note: I’m afraid I cannot be held responsible for perceived changes in colour or texture due to the photos, lighting, computer monitor settings, or any other reason.
Payment
Payment must be received within 24 hours of purchase. If it is not received within this time frame, the item will be re-listed.
Shipping
Your painting will be sent to the address that is included in your Etsy purchase, so please ensure that this is correct.
Paintings are sent via Canada Post Parcel Service or Purolator, depending on the destination and size (I always select the most economical option). If you open your package to discover that it has been damaged in transit, please contact me immediately.
Delivery times vary depending on where you are located, and sadly we have no control over the duration. Generally speaking, deliveries should arrive as follows:
Within Canada (Regular Parcel Service) - between 2 and 9 business days
US (Expedited Parcel USA) - between 6 and 16 business days
International (International Parcel Surface) - Between 4 and 6 weeks
Depending on where you are located, deliveries may also be affected by customs and fees, which are sadly beyond my control.
**Some countries may not allow a painting to be sent to you. If this is the case, I will refund your payment promptly. **
A note to local buyers: If you prefer, we can arrange delivery or pick-up if you are in the Hamilton area. If you wish to do so, please contact me before your purchase and we can make arrangements. I will happily refund the shipping costs after your purchase is made.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you're looking for one similar to the paintings in my gallery, please remember that I can not 100% duplicate a piece as they are all originals. I can however create one as close as possible. I have had several requests like this and so far all of my customers have been pleased with the results!
For all commission requests, send me a message with what you have in mind, including the size and your postal/zip code. With this information I will provide you with a quote for the painting as well as the shipping costs. Once this is approved by you, I ask for a 25% deposit in order to get started. I will send a Paypal invoice to your email address, and I will begin your piece as soon as this has been paid.
In our conversations I will let you know the turnaround time, as this depends largely on my current commission requests and schedule. Generally speaking, your piece should be ready within about two weeks. Once it is complete, I will send you images of your completed painting to ensure you are happy with it.
At this point, I can make any changes you like...I want to make sure you love your custom painting! My policy is that the cost of your painting includes two additional changes. More changes can be made for a small fee, depending on the nature of the changes.
Once you're happy with it, I will send you an invoice for the remaining 75% of the painting cost along with the shipping fees. As soon as this is paid, your painting is shipped!
If you have any questions at all about this process or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me.
