Announcement    aelamb is an idea that’s been swimming around in my head for the past 10 years or so. As proof, pick up any journal or sketchbook I own, and you’ll find doodles related to various ideas I’ve had for the aelamb brand. Growing up on a farm in northwest Kansas, I always felt a bit like the black sheep of the family. Given that my last name is Lamb, it only made sense to roll that into a brand that celebrates the weirder things in life.

As a graphic designer, I’ve bounced around from corporate design departments to ad agencies to a local screen printing shop. I have experience designing all sorts of outdoor, digital, and print projects, but my true passion lies with things like snail mail, art prints, pins, flair, music posters—things with a certain amount of quirk and personality. These are the things I can’t get out of my brain, so I’ve decided to dedicate more time to making what I love.

I hope this brand will encourage you to put down the smart phone and reach out to friends and family in a more personal, more meaningful way. Texts and emails are great, but they pale in comparison to that feeling you get when you spot a brightly colored envelope in your mailbox instead of another utility bill. Traditional mail may be out of the ordinary these days, but I challenge you to be weird. Weird is memorable, so stay connected to those you love and don’t ever apologize for doing things a little differently.

I'm thrilled to debut aelamb merchandise locally at the Plaza District's Out on a Limb--a female-owned shop that embraces women of all shapes, colors, and sizes. <3
