Fantastic idea, though not perfectly executed. Great photo but shoddy jewelry work.

About

The prints, the shop and the understated opening

At first I just wanted to sell my photos in a friendly, artistic environment. It was a pretty quiet, understated "opening". I didn't really promote it or anything. One day there was nothing, the next there was a shop.

As the months passed, seeing all the things done by so many talented people on Etsy, I started getting curious and was inspired to do other things.

Kinetic art, then jewelry ... all kinds of wearable art using my prints... always my prints. The focus is on them the entire time. I have a thing for wearable art, it makes me happy to use my own photos, to include them in every day life. If I can stand to look at a photo every day for a week, it means it's a good one, so I like having them spread around me.

Some months I will only have jewelry in the shop, other times I might post more prints, or bags, or shirts... it depends on my inspiration, my time. I work in very small series, I don't think I ever made more than 4 or 5 copies of the same item, mostly because I like to try new things all the time and end up making alteration after alteration until the third pair of earrings using the same print ends up looking completely different than the first!

I started with Photography, then I discovered an interest in Installations and working with wire. Then I wanted to combine them and somewhere along the way I realized I wanted to make them more portable too so I came up with the wearable art section.
