A Felt Affair...and other crafty infatuations

When God closes a door, He opens a window.

I think that is how I would say A Felt Affair got its start. I wasn't looking to start a business. I wasn't expecting to do much, except expecting...like, a baby. It was the day after my littlest was born that my husband received the news he had been laid off his job.

After the shock and the initial sleep deprivation wore off, I had some time. My husband was around to help with the little people, so I tried sewing some felt together. And, people started buying it. And, I found out, I really like felt. Who knew?

I've been blessed in so many ways due to that stupid lay off. I get to work my own little job and my own "little" hours. I have met a variety of gifted and talented, passionate and creative people. For each rough day, there were kind words left by sweet clients. They lifted my spirit during what could have been a dark period of time in my life.

My husband has a job again. And, now I juggle a 13 year old boy, a 9 year old girl and a 7 year old boy...not literally, of course...they're too heavy to juggle.

I enjoy living a small slice of heaven on earth with my Kindergarten sweetheart. I beam with pride over my children's successes, cry over their hurts, pray for their safety and their future. I volunteer at my kids' school, doing PTA stuff and craft time with little hands. I help organize activities at church. There's never a dull moment, I can promise you that.

And, I'm honored to spend time meeting people through Etsy and creating fun stuff for them. What can I make for you?
