Welcome to A Flock of Lovebirds, where we will anchor our retail fundraising efforts. Look for sales on handmade paper bead jewelry, hand-knit items, original artwork, and destash craft supplies.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
Currently, we only accept Paypal payments for Etsy sales. In-person sales can be done with cash, or pre-paid with Paypal.

All items (except destash items) will come ready for gift-giving, and will be shipped within 48 hours of payment, unless otherwise noted. Orders must be paid for within 48 hours of purchase, or the order will be cancelled.
Shipping
All items will ship First Class mail via the US Postal Service, unless otherwise noted. Most fabric ships via Priority Mail. Insurance is optional and is the responsibility of the purchaser. All items sent via US Postal Service will be sent with Delivery Confirmation.

If you would prefer to upgrade shipping in order to receive your purchases faster, please let us know so that we can bill you for the difference in shipping cost.

Large amounts of fabric may cost less to ship if they are sent via Priority Mail or FedEx. For most of our destash fabrics, 5 yards will fit into a Priority Mail Flat Rate box. Shipping insurance is extra. FedEx purchases are automatically insured via FedEx.

International shipping is available. Please convo us for a shipping quote and we will set up a custom listing.
Refunds and Exchanges
Recycled paper jewelry items are one-of-a-kind. They are handmade, which, by nature, means that all of the beads are not uniform in size, shape, or color. This is what makes these particular jewelry items unique. This is not fine jewelry, and that is reflected in the price. If you are unsure about a particular item's photographs or descriptions, please convo us to ask questions or request more photographs prior to making a purchase.

Because this is one-of-a-kind jewelry, it cannot be replaced. No two items are exactly alike. Returns and refunds will be accepted and considered on a case-by-case basis.

Hand-knit and sewn items are guaranteed to be without defects. Should they become non-functional within 30 days of purchase, please let us know so that we can remedy the situation. Depending on the item, we may request that the purchaser ship the item back to us for repair or replacement. This guarantee is only valid against normal usage and wear-and-tear.

Destash fabrics are just that - destash. They are not straight from the factory, and may or may not be in perfect condition. There may be defects in the fabrics, staining due to storage (usually only up to 6 inches on selvedge ends or the backing), holes, jagged selvedge edges, etc. and we will usually be generous with cutting if we notice any issues. If you want to see the entire fabric that you are ordering (especially for items cut off the roll), please let us know ahead of time and we will be happy to photograph it for you. If you are looking for perfect, straight-from-the-factory fabric, please purchase it from a retail store. You understand, by purchasing fabric from me, that it is purchased in as-is condition. Uncut, unaltered fabric can be returned for a full refund (less shipping cost) within 30 days of purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
The recycled paper jewelry is handmade by single mothers in Uganda. They have already been paid for the jewelry we have in stock. They use the money to support themselves, as well as a ministry that helps single mothers learn marketable skills. The ministry also supports an on-site orphanage (for children who are not up for adoption; the orphanage has committed to supporting these children on a daily basis.)

The profit (purchase price minus cost of jewelry) of the recycled paper bead jewelry goes into our adoption fund. We are in the process of adopting a child from Ghana.

The yarn for the hand-knit and crocheted items, as well as the fabric and supplies for the sewn items, are purchased outside of our adoption fund. Fabrics labeled "destash" have been taken from my personal stash. All proceeds from these sales goes directly into our adoption fund.

Destash fabric comes from my personal stash of fabrics. Most has been stored in a temperature controlled environment, though some has been in our basement/garage storage area or in a closet. Destash fabric is just that - destash - and cannot be expected to be in immaculate, straight-from-the-factory condition. Some of the fabric has been stored for several years, and I've finally gotten to the point where I need to part with it because I'm obviously never going to use it!

There may be defects in the fabrics, slight staining due to storage (usually up to 6 inches on selvedge ends or the backing), holes, etc. and we will usually be generous with cutting if we notice any issues.
