Announcement   All pottery is hand made, mostly on a kick wheel (foot-powered) - that's right, I kick to create this work. This is genuine 'thrown' or 'turned' pottery, not produced in molds. It was created using traditional English, American and Japanese pottery techniques, materials and glazes. Most pottery is high temperature stoneware or porcelain - this means that it is the most durable pottery you can buy. Please keep in mind that this is hand made pottery. Pottery that is perfect is not usually hand made even if it says "hand made". Pottery today is often poured liquid clay into a mold - which is kind of hand made... these are made as pottery has been made for thousands of years, by turning it on a potters wheel which is turned under my own foot power. Minor flaws are part of the process of making pottery.

Pieces that are entirely ceramic (no wood or copper for example) are fine to put in the dishwasher and microwave. These pots have no lead.

I do not warrant these pots in any way except to say that they are well made, durable stoneware and porcelain, highly chip resistant (compared to a flower pot for example). If you throw a chunk of ice in one and pop it into the hot oven and it explodes, I cannot be held responsible. Pottery can withstand huge temperature ranges, but it cannot go from frozen to hot in a short amount of time, just like people. Please buy "Flameware" if you are looking for pottery that can be cooked in daily.
