About

I love color and pattern and art that makes me smile! That is what I create - a part of me that I share with you...

Welcome to my shop!

I have been drawing ever since I was able to hold a crayon. My first creations were people on wheels. When I couldn't find paper to draw on I would use the next best thing - anything that was laying around - my mothers cookbooks, paper towels, the back of my books. It was like breathing - it was something I HAD to do! Growing up I was the one in the back of the class in school doodling and drawing and getting nasty looks from the teacher. OF COURSE I was listening!

I have always been attracted to pattern and color and love to mix them up. They seem to move together like a song... I think I was greatly influenced by my 3 years living in North Africa as a child. My mother and I went to wonderful open air shops where bolts of fabrics were laid out on the ground - it was a festival for the eyes!

Women, owls, cats and flowers are my main art subjects. I create my work as therapy for myself, a world filled of happy and color. I have a wonderful view to enjoy as I create - a field filled with oak trees and the occasional turkey, rabbit, quail and deer. I couldn't be happier sitting at my desk with a mix of materials and paper to explore using in different ways.

I have been part of the local open studio tours for years and also the artwalks held in our area. Not to mention various crafts fairs held in California. But now I prefer Etsy. I can listen to great music, TV or simply gaze out my window waiting for the next idea to take place in my mind.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it for you! :)
