About

Luxury African and Adinkra Jewellery – individually and carefully handcrafted just for you!

As a jewellery designer and maker, I draw inspiration from different cultures from Africa and within Ghana, to hand make a range of individually meaningful fine jewellery in sterling silver, 18ct gold and rose gold vermeil.

Inspired by my Ghanaian heritage, I use the symbols of wisdom, strength, truth, virtue and grace that have for centuries underpinned and been used to pass on the essential life-guiding principles of the Ashanti people of Ghana. Ahima Jewellery subtly imbues such emblems with fine fashion design and colour to form unique pieces for the modern woman.

Each design is painstakingly handcrafted in my North London studio, so that whether a gift or a special treat for yourself, when you buy an Ahima Jewellery you can be certain that it’s a beautiful timeless piece of the highest quality, individually hand finished and infused with both love and tradition.
I hope you love your jewellery as much as I enjoyed making it for you.

Love,
Dorothy

Gift wrapping and packaging

All jewellery comes in an Ahima branded box, neatly packaged and perfect for gift giving. All efforts are taken to ensure safe and undamaged delivery

Care instructions

Store your Ahima jewellery separately in a soft pouch or box when not in use.
Avoid wearing your jewellery in the shower, swimming pool or bath, as the water may discolour and tarnish your piece.
We plate our sterling silver in 18 carat yellow or rose gold in two microns to make sure it lasts for a very long time if properly cared for. If for any reason, your plated piece should discolour, it may be replated at a fee.
