The story of a Hopeful Home's webshop started with a (slightly failed) experiment at home to make a room and linen spray. After a few trials and adjustments, it was finally there: a lovely room and linen spray which could make any room smell like Christmas.

I started to wonder: would it be possible to sell this in order for other people to have this cosy and homey smell in their house as well?

The idea of opening a shop resurfaced in my mind every once in a while, but it never seemed a realistic option. Until one day I asked myself the question: why don't I set up a webshop?

Due to my absolute passion for finding treasures at auctions, flea markets and in second hand shops, I decided that A Hopeful Home would not only sell my homemade room and linen sprays but also carefully picked vintage homeware. I believe that vintage homeware gives so much depth, warmth, and character to a home.

When I think of a home then I think of a peaceful haven. I am not saying that it always is, but it is what a home is supposed to be. It is supposed to be the place where you can be at ease, where you can withdraw from the world full of challenges, where you love, and where you build sweet memories.

With the items on my webshop and the blog on www.hopefulhome.co.uk, I hope to inspire myself and others to make home a peaceful haven. It doesn't have to be picture-perfect. It has to be a home that works financially, practically, and aesthetically for you and your family. I hope you'll enjoy the items on here and that you'll feel inspired :)
