About

Quality Lampwork Beads from an Artisan Glass Beadmaker

I opened my Etsy store a little while before I got into lampwork. Back then, I was just as addicted to beads - I used to make jewelry. Once I got into making my own beads, the jewelry making took a back seat. I started selling my creations on Etsy because I loved the feeling of being a part of a handmade community that Etsy embodied.

Since the beginning, my philosophy has been to offer up the best quality product I can, with extra care to give great customer service and a personal touch. I always strive to make my customers happy, and have always backed up my work with generous guarantees and return policies. It's my hope that these measures take a bit of the scariness out of ordering something online. It's hard to purchase something without actually holding it in your hands - I totally get that. But utilizing the internet to reach potential buyers, that's too good of an opportunity to waste. I love that my beads have traveled all over the world now, to customers in so many places I have never been to and maybe may never even visit in my lifetime.

I think there is something special about holding onto the handmade art in a world where it's getting lost to mass-produced items.

Payment
My preferred method of payment is PayPal. If you need to use a different payment method, please contact me. Taxes are included in my prices. If you place an order and need to cancel, you may do so if I have no yet shipped the item. Once it is shipped, you may return it to me and receive a refund for the item but not the shipping.
Shipping
I ship within 1-2 working days (Mon-Fri) of received/cleared payment.

I ship using Canada Post. In Canada, items will be shipped by Regular Parcel, which normally takes 2-9 business days and includes delivery confirmation. In the USA, items are shipped as Small Packet (Surface), which normally takes 4-7 business days. Internationally, items are shipped as Small Packet (Air), and the time will vary considerably depending on how far away you are - estimates and more information can be found on the Canada Post Website at http://www.canadapost.ca If you wish to purchase insurance or a different type of shipping, then please let me know. Please note that I cannot make any guarantees with regards to shipping times, but I will do my best to get my beads to you as quickly as possible!

I do combine shipping on my beads - Etsy will do this automatically if you purchase more than one item at a time. If you purchase more than one item within a day or two, and I haven't shipped the first one yet, I will be more than happy to refund your second shipping fee.
Refunds and Exchanges
All of my beads are made by hand, annealed in a digitally controlled kiln, cleaned, checked, and packaged carefully before I mail them out to you. I have high personal standards for my work, and do not sell anything that does not live up to these standards.

Basically, if there are any problems with your purchase, I want to make it right for you.

All of that being said, please understand the following: handmade glass beads are subject to some variation and imperfection. They are made one at a time by myself, a single artisan (and an imperfect human being!) and I am not a factory. Appearance such as colour may also vary slightly than what you saw on your computer monitor. While I do my very best to represent my beads accurately in my listings, glass is difficult to photograph.

Return policies:

- If you are simply unhappy with your beads (if they don't look the way you expected, even), you can return them and I will refund your purchase price. I will not refund your shipping fees. I would appreciate it if you contacted me within approx. 30 days for this type of return.
- If a bead arrives cracked or broken, or if it cracks or breaks during normal use (I will hold you to the honor system!), I will send you a replacement at no charge. I am not putting a time limit on this. Quality lampwork beads like mine are meant to last for a long time.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am very open to custom orders, and can offer some discount for wholesale orders as well (bearing in mind that I am one person, and can't do HUGE volumes very easily.) Please contact me for more details.
