Welcome Y'all! I'm an 8th generation Texas artist who loves to create things to make others smile. I believe in the positive power of love & energy.

I am a work at home mama & do my very best to create unique items. I look at each piece that I create, as a special piece, that will hopefully be pleasing to the one who purchases it and those who receive it.

Please contact me if you have any concerns before leaving neutral or negative feedback. I want you to be satisfied with your purchase.

Please note, rarely from time to time, there will be an issue with a piece of my art. Please contact me to let me know. I want you to have a lasting item that you are happy with.

I am not responsible for items lost or stolen once it is shipped. Each customer has 48 hours of delivery to notify me of any issues or concerns.

Sometimes, beads are sharp & may cause an issue. I do my very best to try to "weed out" any beads that are not perfect.

Please be patient, kind & understand that I am not a large corporation making a product. I am a loving mother creating art as a supplemental income. I value your business & know that I will treat you with the same respect that I would want to be treated with.
Payment must be submitted within 24 hours of completing your purchase to ensure proper delivery & positive feedback. See shipping for further details.
Sales tax applies to all purchases in Texas.
Your order will ship via USPS within 48-72 hours of payment notification, with the exception of Saturdays & Sundays or Holidays. I certainly do my part in recycling & will use recycled shipping material whenever possible. Items listed in the AikoArt shop are made and ready to be packaged and shipped to you, unless stated otherwise.

To purchase shipping insurance, please let me know in advance to your purchase. I will gladly create a custom listing for package insurance, based on your needs.

All packages are shipped from here in Texas via USPS First Class Parcel post, once payment is received & cleared. Please contact me if you need something shipped via Priority. You will need a custom listing for Priority or expedited shipping prior to your purchase.

I am honored to be able to ship internationally & will do my best to meet your needs.
Items to Canada are shipped First Class Parcel Post International. There is no way to track your package via International First Class, so please expect your order to arrive in one week to six weeks. If you are interested in upgrading your shipping to Priority or Express International Shipping, please let me know PRIOR to purchase. I’ll gladly calculate the costs and send you an invoice to include the extra postage. (Keep in mind, it is ridiculously expensive.)

All other destinations ship internationally via First Class Mail International as well. If you do not see your country listed, contact me and I will look into adding it to my shipping destinations.
There is no sort of tracking when shipping First Class International Shipping once it leaves the United States. Please remember, that it can take anywhere from a week to a 6 weeks to arrive to your destination.
International customers: familiarize yourself with your particular country’s customs regulations. Depending on the laws of your respectable country, you could be liable for duties and taxes. Customs form 2976 will accompany any international shipment by law.
Additional policies and FAQs
Q: Can I upgrade my shipping?
A: Yes, you may upgrade your shipping. Just be sure to let me know before you make your purchase so that I can change the listing to reflect the upgrade. All items ship from here in Texas.
If you are in the U.S., the small flat rate priority box will hold up to three necklaces for $6.50. Larger orders will be quoted upon request. If you need something sent expedited, I can upgrade for that as well.

Q: Hi, I'm a photographer. Do you offer discounts in trade for photos or referrals?
A: I get this question a lot. I have met some very nice & talented photographers here at Aiko Art. My photographer is Emily at Landojake & most of my photos are done by her. From time to time, a designer uses their own photographer for items that are made to match, as you will also see in my shop.
Unfortunately, I do not offer any discounts for photos or referrals. If you have a special question regarding this, please feel free to contact me.

Q: I'm a clothing designer & would like some necklaces made to match my line of clothing.
A: I love to create new goodies for designers & welcome the challenge. Clothing designers may order in the same fashion as any custom order. Contact me for additional details.

Q: Can you ship this to my secret pal, sister, aunt, cousin, mother, friend, etc?
A: I will gladly ship it to them. As long as we communicate, that you want me to do so. I can even keep it a secret & only have my return information on the package. This may however delay your feedback response from me, so that your identity will remain a mystery to the gifted person.

Q: Do you ship to other places than Canada & the US?
A: Yes, I will gladly quote you shipping time & price to your location. Just contact me your shipping details, BEFORE you make your purchase. I will let you know in advance what it will cost & how long it is expected to make it.

Q: Do you make custom colors/orders?
A: I gladly welcome custom orders & will let you know if I have the colors, you have in mind. I love suggestions, ideas & thoughts. Please don't hesitate to ask. If it is something I can't do, I'll let you know.

Q: Do you do trades?
A: From time to time, I gladly do trades here on Etsy. I have a picky family, so please do not take it personally, if I might not be interested in trading with you. I am, however, pretty flexible & adore new handmade goodies, especially clothes, for my three daughters. When I trade, both parties ship on the same day, with delivery confirmation, to ensure timely arrival of both trades. Contact me if you have more questions about trading or are interested in a trade!

Q: Do you sell wholesale?
A: Yes, I gladly accept wholesale accounts. Send me your quantity needs, shop information, facebook page (if applicable) & any other information, to help best meet your needs. We will discuss prices & terms based on your information.

Q: Where do you get your beads?
A: The beads I work with come from a variety of direct suppliers that I have worked with for years. If you are interested in purchasing beads, you can find many beads & materials in the internet & your local craft stores. Happy Shopping!

Q: Do you sell beads?
A: I have sold beads in the past but I do not currently sell beads any longer.

Q:Do you participate in co-ops?
A: From time to time, I do participate in co-ops. Please communicate your needs & time frame by contacting me.

Q:What are the nursing necklaces made of?
A: I use a variety of beads including semi-precious stones, glass, acrylic, resin, plastic, metal and any other material I find suitable for the nursing necklaces. Each necklace is on double sided satin ribbon with heat sealed ends to prevent fraying. When you receive your necklace, you can retie a knot to your desired length, cut off excess ribbon & burn the ends to reseal. Please let me know if you have any questions about materials before you purchase. Thanks.

Q:What's the point in only having the round part beaded & not the whole necklace?
A: I only bead the small portion to keep the interest in a small concentrated area. This allows for baby to be focused more at the breast rather than up mommy's neck. The double faced satin ribbon is used to provide a smooth feeling to baby's hands & a simple look for mama. (I often compare it to the satin edge on blankets my daughter uses. She loves the feel of satin & finds it very comforting.)

Q: Are the beads BPA free?
A: Because these beads are not designed for teething or food preparation, I cannot guarantee they are BPA free. I certainly do my best to pick beads that do not smell of strong chemicals or that are stinky.
When BPA is discussed, it is generally referring to food storage & the heating of such items. It has also been found in plastic lined tin cans of food. If you are concerned about BPA, Aiko Art nursing necklaces may not be right for you. It is never my intention to use anything unsafe or that I wouldn't use in my own family. I also do not encourage to use them as a teether, just in case something is present, that I am unaware of. I am foremost a mother & wife but I am also a nurse that specializes in woman's health. The purpose of the nursing necklace is to keep the child's attention not to serve as a teether.

Q: Do you use safe metal?
A: I use nickel & lead free metal in all of my wearable pieces. Sometimes this metal tarnishes & can be cleaned with a silver polishing cloth.

Q: I have questions that are not answered here.
A: Please feel free to message me with any questions.

NOTE ABOUT NURSING NECKLACES: These are intended for only Adults to wear. DO not allow babies, infants or children to use as a teether. Infants & Toddlers should NEVER be left alone with these or any necklaces. Although made to be sturdy, designs were not created for use by children. Beads & cords are a choking hazard! Buyer assumes responsibility. Seller not responsible for negligence.
