Announcement    I make everything I sell. I do it because I love doing it. Creating and selling my creations is my passion.

Each hat and scarf is hand knit by me. No two are going to be exactly alike even when I use the same yarn. I make pom poms by hand and, again, no two will be exactly alike. I try to make things as closely as I can to resemble the photos I share but also to find the right buttons on the funky hats that will compliment the flower.

I make my own eyeglass cases. I initially used a pattern but redesigned the pattern to fit what I felt was a good and useful eyeglass case. Since I use my template to cut the material the cases may not exactly resemble the photos on Etsy. I try to get as close as I can. Again, like with my knit items each case is its own and no two are exactly alike.

I hope that you enjoy the items you purchase from me.

I have another Etsy shop where I sell my photographs. I reopened it on April 18th and am building up the photos I am selling there. My other Etsy shop is www.ajoyfulcreationphoto.etsy.com You can find all of my photos on ajoyfulcreation1.com. If you see any there you can find the number of the photo by hovering over it with your mouse and then contact me if you wish it to be added to my Etsy shop or have a question about it. I am also on Fine Art America under the name Joy Patzner.

About AJoyfulCreation

Sales 797
On Etsy since 2010

My name is Joy and so a Joyful Creation fits me and what I make.

I am knitting things that people want but also constantly trying out new designs. My funky hats got started a little over a year ago and are selling very well both on Etsy and in my craft shows.

I added on the sewing because not everyone likes scarves and during the warmer months, they usually don't sell. My eyeglass and sunglasses cases are becoming more and more popular as I come up with fun fabric.

This year I have decided that I also love photography. I started out by accident and now find that when I am outside my eyes are constantly searching for things to photograph. This is a new venture for me and so I am still learning and growing. I had my photos on Etsy but decided to move them to my own site: Ajoyfulcreation1 dot com. or at my other Etsy shop www.ajoyfulcreationphoto.Etsy.com

I do quite a few craft faires at the end of the year each year. This allows me to see what people like and helps me to develop my products based on what I learn.

If you visit my FaceBook page please feel free to make comments and or 'like' my page. I am A Joyful Creation on FaceBook.

I hand knit all my scarves and hats. I sew all my eyeglass cases. I do not have any help. If I have an item listed in Etsy it means I either have it in inventory (in which case I will ship right away) or I am able to knit it. Hats generally take me about a day to knit. Scarves generally take about two days. This time has been included in shipping times.

My scarves are about 74 inches long and, 4 to 6 inches wide. If you need a smaller scarf (for a child) or a bit larger of a scarf, please let me know in comments. The yarn is mostly acrylic so the items can be machine washed and dried. I will make note if there is any wool in the yarn.

Eyeglass cases are sewn with interfacing (for support) and felt lining (to protect your glasses.) The cases fit regular sized eyeglasses and larger sized sunglasses (not at the same time.)

Returns and exchange details
I will only refund money if I have overcharged for shipping. If an item has been damaged in shipping I will need for you to show proof by sending the whole package back to me.

I try to make sure that I do not send an item to you that has any problems with it. I have ripped out rows of knitting if I find a mistake and I do not send items with obvious mistakes in them. If you discover a serious mistake in something I have sent you, please contact me and let me know.
Payment
All orders including custom orders must be paid for at the time of order.
Shipping
I mostly use USPS First class unless you chose Priority or another method. USPS has proven to be dependable and many times first class gets there at the same time or shortly after Priority.

I allow a few days for my knit items because I make them before I ship them unless I have them in inventory.

If it is absolutely necessary to send an item back to me (please contact me first) and the reason is because of something I did wrong, I will refund your money after I receive the item back (in the same condition you received it.) If the problem is something I can fix, I will refund the shipping. Once I have it back and I can fix the problem I will mail it back to you at my expense.
Additional policies and FAQs
I take pride in what I make and sell. Everything is hand made by me. If I spot a problem while I am knitting, I will rip back to the problem and then finish the knitting. I try to be very careful and not send out a scarf or hat with an obvious, fixable, error. The scarves take more then one skein of yarn and so I have to tie on the additional yarn and weave in the ends. If you see any ends sticking out, just tuck them in. They are inevitable.
