About

Artisan scarves and other larks

I collect, repair and use vintage Japanese knitting machine to make one-off accessories from high quality luxury yarns. I love colour. Be quick! I can't often do remakes due to small yarn quantities.

AK&KO is a solo studio operation. I do everything. As a result the amount of items listed will vary greatly during the course of a year. I make mostly one-offs, but I can accomodate custom orders should I have sufficient time and materials.

Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

All knits are best cared for by hand washing in a mild soap or wool wash. If you can't find a good wool wash, you can use shampoo and conditioner. Water should be lukewarm - 30C is good. Do not scrub or wring. Roll in a towel to reshape and dry flat.

Custom and personalised orders

I can accept personalised orders if yarn and time are available. Payment on completion. No returns.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I can gift wrap if requested. Please message me upon purchase.
