5 out of 5 starsThe pattern looks great - clearly laid out with a good number of clear, well-angled photographs to help back up the text. Although I'm a novice knitter, I appreciate having this fun quirky project to work towards.

5 out of 5 starsThis pattern is so much fun - I work in a natural history collection and knit one of these for our Christmas party and everyone absolutely loved it! FREAKING AWESOME!

5 out of 5 starsI waited over a year during the shop hiatus, and it was well worth the wait. This is a wonderful piece of art.

5 out of 5 starsI asked for a work depicting chicken aknitomy and it was such a pleasure working with Emily. She was really inspired! I requested, I put it on hold (because COVID), I thought maybe I was ready... each step Emily was patient and understanding. Would leave more stars if I could. I have more custom requests in the works!
About aKNITomy
Knitting my way through school
I have no background in science, just a layman's love of it. My first aknitomical piece was the knitted, dissected frog that we all remember from high school. That has proven to be consistently my most popular item by far.
Over the years I have added more creatures to my wunderkammer, and I look forward to many more years of creating new knits!
I began knitting in 2001, and haven't stopped since. I am currently a part time student at the University of Vermont, studying German and History. I also work part-time at a stained glass studio, and part time at a local art/anthropological museum.
This leaves very little time for knitting, but I find that I fill up every spare moment with sticks and string.
My business here on Etsy, while not quite supporting me full-time, has allowed me the freedom to not work for someone else full time, so I can attend school (and of course I knit in all of my classes).
