This lovely print was a gift for my mother for Christmas. She absolutely loves it and with the added texture element, she actually didn't realise it was a print with enhancement. I told her - the intention was not to fool but to give her art she'd love - but I think it speaks to the quality and care taken.

This painting perfectly evokes a trip I took to Capri a number of years ago (I literally recognised it as Capri before even reading the description of the work. I had to have it! All the logistics were handled smoothly and it arrived in good time (alongside a print I purchased as a gift). But this one is all mine!

I had my eye on this painting for months and was bummed when it disappeared from Alana's site, because I kept thinking about it. I wrote Alana to ask if it was available and it turned out it had just been traveling to an exhibition (I'm glad others got to see it!). Alana saved it for me and I purchased it immediately! She was very reponsive and we bonded over our shared fascination for the Farallon Islands in the painting. The detail is gorgeous close up, it is a gem and the size is perfect, and it came with a bonus rustic wooden frame that reminds me of driftwood. I spent 2 winters on the Farallons studying the wildlife there and this painting really evokes the magic of that experience for me. I love the fact that it was painted by a local artist who has seen this place and that I could talk to about it.

About

I WILL MAKE ART!

An elementary school writing prompt asked, "How will you make the world a better place?" Emphatically, in large, bold letters, I wrote: "I WILL MAKE ART!"

Last year (2018) marked my ten year anniversary as a professional artist. Feeling a new tide of creative production and expansion in 2019; looking forward to the next ten and beyond!

Much love and light,
Alana
