As always, these bloomers are well made. The colour and contrast give it a classy look.

Choker with D-Ring and Ribbon Closure
These bloomers are available with a beautiful cotton eyelet trim, imported from South Korea! If you look closely, tiny little bows are embroidered on the body of the lace. Pictured with sky blue satin ribbon.

The progression of a creative hobby into a brand.

From 2007-2009, I was doing a lot of photo shoots after graduating with a degree in photography. I would regularly frequent flea markets, finding old slips and unique pieces to really make my photos stand out or give them a ghostly/vintage feel. I started altering pieces and eventually started making them from scratch. Ashlee and I came up with the idea to put our creative talent to use. We both had jobs in the arts, but doing others' work. It started off slow, we came up with a logo, and a few small accessory pieces.

We opened up our store shortly after in 2010. It seemed like forever before we got our first sale and it was a little discouraging. So I started a model mayhem for Alchemy and Lace, and started collaborating with others to get fantastic images of our work. We got more attention that way. The rest of that year was a blur, as I got married in September and moved to Washington in October. And the rest kind of just snowballed from there! Ashlee started her job at AY Magazine, leaving most of Alchemy and Lace in my keeping.

In 2011 we moved into the city of Portland and my new found resources spurred further creativity and access to higher quality fabrics, allowing a wider range of product and more to offer custom orders! From 2011-2014 I worked two jobs, a full-time job as a lead and bridal consultant in retail and Alchemy and Lace. We moved to Salem in Fall 2014.

At the beginning of 2015, I stepped down to part-time at my day job in preparation for our baby girl's arrival in May. We are so close to being finished with studio and nursery renovations! I will finally have a fully functional studio in a couple of months to devote 100% of my work-time to A&L while raising our daughter! Keep on the look-out for new designs Summer 2015.
