Just received my book in what feels like record time. It is better than I expected. The material is amazing and the craftsmanship is beautiful. Very authentic. Even the way it is wrapped is gorgeous and in line with the book. My partner is sure to love receiving this beautiful journal as an anniversary present. Thank you Alchemy BoundBooks :D

A truly beautifully made and presented journal. I would not hesitate in recommending these works of art to anyone who is looking for great design, clever crafting and eye for detail. Liz is very easy to deal with; flexible, communicative and clearly passionate about what she does. Supporting artisans like Liz is a pleasure!
I create unique journals and notebooks using traditional methods with a contemporary twist!
My Leather Journals take me away from the everyday. This business is a realised dream and I love it! The smell of the leather when I enter my Little Purple Studio, the detail in the sewing, and the finished product, all bring me joy!
People often ask about my business name. Alchemy is the process of combining base elements to produce gold. When I create, I take leather, paper, thread, and my imagination to produce a unique journal. Dare I say, something that holds your memories is more precious than gold.
There are no machines involved in my work. I tear the paper to size, cut the leather , then link the paper and leather with linen thread. The materials I use today have been used for generations.
When I began this journey I made a promise that I would share it with others. As well as selling my products online, I run workshops on the Mornington Peninsula sharing the knowledge I have gained. I will always be learning in the world of bookbinding and that is the way I like to live!
