A Jack (Or Rather, Jill) of All Trades
I love design in all its forms. Though my education and career were/are focused on graphic design, I've always been fascinated by industrial design, fashion design and interior design. Simply put, I like to make and surround myself with pretty things.
Four years ago, I became a military spouse and moved to a city that was severely lacking in traditional graphic design opportunities. Never one to back down from a challenge, I opened a studio of my own, Aleisha Knight Evans Photography and Design. I wasn't content with just photography and graphic design! I began to experiment with all kinds of mediums, and in 2011, opened this Etsy shop under the name Heartache Studio.
I love being a part of the Etsy community, and look forward to sharing my arts and finds with you.
I'm a vintage enthusiast, artist, photographer and graphic designer based in Chesterfield, MI. I love creating new works of art, designing, sewing, and searching for new vintage treasures! My shop is an eclectic outlet for all of my passions!

Refunds and Exchanges
Vintage items have usually been pre-loved, and therefore may show signs of natural wear. We do our very best to accurately describe the item's condition and to point out any noticeable flaws, such as missing buttons, tears, stains, ripped seams, etc. We also try to offer photographs from a variety of angles to allow for complete and thorough viewing of each item. We will gladly take additional photographs, give additional measurements, and answer any questions to make sure you are excited about your purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
We measure all clothing items on a flat surface. We physically measure in inches, and convert to centimeters using a calculator. If an approximate "modern size" is given, a size calculator is used (currently, http://clairehunter.com/dress-size-calculator.htm) to translate measurements into a US size. Please note that the approximate US size is only given as a guideline, and should not be used to determine fit. Please use the measurements to determine an accurate fit.
Chest/Bust: measured from the fullest part of the garment (usually armpit to armpit) then doubled. Please keep in mind that this is a flat measurement, and does not necessarily take into account the extra inches gained from the presence of pleats or darts.
Hips: measured from the fullest part of the garment, then doubled.
Waist: measured from the narrowest part of the garment, then doubled.
Shoulders: measured from the seams where the sleeves are attached.
Sleeve: measured from the top of the sleeve, from the seam where the sleeve is attached to the bottom, along the edge.
Length: measured from the top to the bottom of the garment. On shirts, this is from the middle of the shoulder to the bottom. On skirts and pants, we measure from the top of the waistband to the bottom, along the edge of the garment.
Length (Dresses and rompers): measured from the middle of the shoulder to the waist. Then measured from the waist to the bottom edge of the garment. The two measurements are listed separately.
Shoes: measured from the inside of the shoe, from heel to toe. Heel height is measured from the bottom to the seam where the heel attaches to the sole.
