FAQs

Q: How do you pronounce your name?
A: Alicia Traveria is pronounced: ah-LEE-see-ah trah-vehr-EE-ah - it's Spanish! And Alicia Policia is prounounced: ah-LEE-see-ah po-LEE-see-ah - because Alicia kinda rhymes with the word "police."

Q: What kind of art do you do?
A: Really, honestly, a bit of everything. I am an illustrator by day, which means I draw and paint in gouache, ink, watercolor, oil, acrylic, and digital media, depending on what the project demands. But of course, I also sew (softies) and embroider, but I also make jewelry and do some printmaking and sculpture from time to time as well.

Q: Do you take custom orders?
A: No, not currently. I am open to doing them again in the future. I will make an announcement in the shop if and when I am open to custom orders again.

Q: Do you do wholsesale?
A: Maybe. Contact me and we'll see what can happen.

Q: Do you sell your patterns for your plush?
A: Not right now. I sort of sew by my own rules, and I do not know if the way I sew translates easily enough for other folks to follow. That is a project I would like to look into doing eventually (making understandable patterns for sale).

Q: I saw your custom wedding coloring books online. Will you make me one?
A: I would love to make my custom wedding coloring books available for regular purchase. I am trying to negotiate a fair, affordable, and organized pricing and printing system to make them available to folks. I hope to figure something out in the new year (2013) to make those services available for purchase. I have decided to shelve doing custom coloring books until then.

Q : I saw your Muppet Party blog post - do you sell templates for the food labels you used?
A: No. I do not sell the labels or templates for the labels for the food pictured in my Muppet Baby Shower posts on my blog, aliciapolicia.blogspot.com. While I am glad that everyone loves them so much, the fact remains that I did NOT design them. My friend Wendy did.
I could figure out how she made them, I guess, but 1) I really don't enjoy recreating other folks' graphic design work. I used to have to do that every day, and I really don't like it enough to do it again. And 2) it's really her thing to choose to make, sell, or publish not mine.
And yes, I have told her about how everyone wants them and/or will give her money for them, but no, so far as I know, she has no plans to sell them or make them available.

Q: Will you make me a pinata?
A: Sorry, but no. That's why I wrote a tutorial - so that everyone could learn to make their own pinata. Really, I am a true believer than anyone can do it! Otherwise, I would not have posted the tutorial. : )
