About

A Call to Honor Women through Sacred Adornment

When I seriously began crafting jewelry, around the age of 35, I became very involved in collecting old, rare beads from other countries, as well as rustic pendants and charms. Weaving these elements together helped inspire and resurrect some fundamental aspect of my being...here, my imagination grew and my ideas about who I was as a female began to change. Who would think that creating jewelry could spark this process! Yet it did, and in this creative process I have found the power of sacred adornment. Through creating assemblage jewelry, I have tapped into the ancient shamanic potential of Altering the Self.

I feel a deep desire to share this Art Form with other women.

The female body is sacred space that is celebration of Life. Much has ensued in patriarchal history to cause us to negate this fact, to doubt ourselves, to deny our own creativity and self-worth. Creating jewelry is one way that I move beyond these misconceptions, back into the sacred arena of our female potential where imagination can grow and ideas can begin to change about who we are and what we are capable of. Female equals bounty. Let us each Remember, Celebrate & Inspire...

I value my creativity. It allows me to create all manner of altars that express my awe and wonder of Life. My creativity also challenges me to become the woman I am meant to Be.

It is my wish that each piece you purchase from me inspire you and cause celebration in your heart. Repurposing vintage and antique items is one way I recycle and celebrate the soul of conscious consumerism. I love to craft, I love to sell, I love to purchase...I love to connect!

Payment
I prefer Paypal or direct checkout through Etsy as it is a wonderful medium, easy to use, efficient and reliable. With paypal or direct checkout through Etsy, payment is expected at the time of purchase (unless we have agreement for partial payment on layaway items). I will also except USPS money orders. If using this method, your item will ship once I have received payment. Payment is due in a timely manner. If it is not, I have the right to cancel the sale.

A special note on Reserves and Lay-a-way: Reserve and Lay-a-way is a courtesy. Please do not reserve or lay-a-way unless you intend to follow through with purchase. If reserves/lay-a-ways are not followed through on, there will be a minimal charge of $10.00 to cover Etsy and Paypal fees and also the the work it takes me to set up this courtesy and then to delete and re-list. Additional charge may be incurred if the reserve/lay-a-way has been on hold for some time. This will be determined for each unique circumstance and deducted from the down payment. Thank you.
Shipping
In shipping, all items are packaged with the utmost care to ensure safe delivery. I take a lot of time with preparing my packages for the buyer. My experience with the post has been wonderful. In the US, packages will be sent with tracking, and are fully insured.

Please make sure your shipping information is clear and correct. I value buyer/seller relationship and want to collaborate to the utmost to ensure your package reaching you. YET PLEASE KNOW I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS ONCE THEY HAVE LEFT MY POSSESSION. Nor is Rustic Gypsy Creations liable for any lost or stolen shipments. All my packages in the US are insured, so should anything like this occur, we are protected through the Postal Service and will go through that process of reimbursement.

On International Shipping: I am open to international requests for shipping, however, I do not offer world wide shipping due to various customs and practices in mail handling. I ship all international packages 'registered and insured' or 'world-wide guaranteed' for this protects the buyer and myself. Due to the nature of the rare, antique items I create with, it is essential for me to have these treasures protected.

With international shipping, please know Rustic Gypsy Creations is not responsible for packages impacted by the buyers customs and their processes. Thank you!
Additional policies and FAQs
I would like to speak to convos and feedback. During my time with Etsy, I have enjoyed these two mediums immensely. Convos are a wonderful way to ask questions and seek to get your creative ideas and needs met. Feedback is a great way to share your appreciation and experience of the purchasing exchange. It is nutriment for the artist, and helps future buyers get to know the artist. Feedback also gives both the purchaser and supplier a way to achieve closure on their interaction. I ask that if my buyers are not happy with any element of our interaction that they contact me with this information. I appreciate the opportunity to resolve any issues before a buyer would leave negative feedback on my Etsy account. Let's be respectful with one another in this creative process!
