From growing the fiber to garment finishing, clothing manufacture can be a very energy, water, land and, labor intensive process. Therefore, we see the ecological and social benefits of bringing one less garment into the world. We want to help you breathe new life into your favorite threads.

At All Intertwined Patchworks, we constantly strive to live up to our name by producing patches that groove with, nurture, and celebrate the unique ecological balance found on planet Earth. Whether in our human systems or the natural world, we are realizing that it's all intertwined. We pay close attention to the ecological and social impacts our creations will have during their entire life cycle.

That is why our patches are made from cotton grown without the synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. Note: We use organic cotton fabric and thread, but are not currently able to justify the costs of becoming certified organic for the limited volumes we produce.

We wouldn't want to bathe that glorious fiber in fossil fuel-derived, often toxic dyestuffs so we have learned time-tested ways of dyeing using natural dyes harvested from renewable sources like flowers, leaves, roots and barks to achieve a rainbow of hues.
