5 out of 5 starsLove the concept on this planter. Its made for succulents, which dont need frequent watering water. The ceramic part is designed around a plastic pot. You plant the succulents in the plastic pot, and remove the plastic pot to water your succulents from the bottom. Once the water is drained off, you put the plastic pot back into the ceramic pot. So unlike a planter with a hole in the bottom, this one will leave no wet mess on your counter. Neat design!!

4 out of 5 starsThe quality and size of the spoon rest is perfect. It did not truley match the description. It was stated as ombre, gray, and black. There is no black in it. It is mostly blue. I bought it for a gift, thus my late review. Her kitchen is black and white so I was hoping this would blend in with her kitchen . The colors were a bit disappointing. But it is a lovely item and she does like it, just not quite as I was expecting.

Allison Glick Ceramics - Wheel Thrown Functional Porcelain Pottery and Gift Items
All my pottery is thrown on the wheel using high-quality porcelain clay.
When the clay is partially dry, I trim the bottom, making a rounded “foot ring”, sign each piece with my maker’s mark, and alter the piece as needed. The pots are then bisque fired in my electric kiln. My glazes are mixed from scratch using non-leaded ingredients. The final firing reaches 2,232°F, ensuring that the pot is less than 1% porous, and therefore safe for use with liquids/food and can be used in microwaves and dishwashers. I sand and polish the bottom of each piece, so that it is smooth and comfortable to the touch and will not scratch any surfaces.
The majority of my work is hand-painted. After the first bisque firing I hand paint the ombre patterning using underglazes. The pattern is set into the piece by a second firing. I lightly sand the piece before I apply the glazes.
I also make marbled clay, or agate ware, by adding a variety of hand-mixed colored porcelain clays to the white porcelain before throwing. The same food safe colorants I use to make my glazes are used to make my colored porcelain.
