From Playdates to Party Packages

Our story begins in 2007, after we met at a local story time with our then almost one year old boys. We were both preparing to throw our first birthday parties as new moms and commiserated over the lack of cute, customized invitations for our kiddos. Over time, our friendship grew as quickly as our kids. With Francie's background in computer graphics and Kristy's experience in the design world, we started by designing cards for our own children, followed by Christmas cards for our families and friends. With the birth of our second children (a boy for Kristy, a girl for Francie) we expanded our skills to birth announcements. Thanks to positive feedback and support from our friends and families, Allison Powell Designs was born in late 2009!

That brings us to today, and we hope you will take the time to get to know us. We love designing cards, announcements, and invitations, and we love working one-on-one with people to create something that will be tucked in a top drawer, baby book, or somewhere special for years to come. Our small size allows us to provide a level of personalized service and attention to detail that others cannot offer. Payment Payment type - I accept Credit Cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal (you do not need a Paypal account to use Paypal to pay) for payments. AFTER payment has been received I will begin your order. Cancellations are accepted within 24 hours of payment if proof has not be sent.
Shipping All items are sent directly to the registered Etsy email account within 1-3 business days. Excluding Instant downloads that link is sent in 5-10 minutes after purchase. Please be sure to always check your spam folder as Yahoo, Hotmail and MSN do tend to spam out such emails.

Printed Items - proofs will first be sent for your approval to your email account and then sent to print once you have approved. Please allow 5 business days for your printed items after approval. Items are shipped USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise communicated to you.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds and Exchanges Changing and refunds: We understand that sometimes people order the wrong thing. If the file hasn’t been started, we are happy to swap out the design for you. Color changes must be requested prior to receiving your invitation proof, if this is not requested at time of purchase this is not done. You are paying not only for the item, but also for design time.

Exceptions are instant downloads; they are exactly as shown, unless otherwise described. No changes or adjustments will be made to these files without additional fees applying.

Please bear in mind and understand monitors do vary and printed items may look a little different then they appear on your smartphone or HD device.

We take customer satisfaction very seriously! If for any reason you are not satisfied at any point in the process, please contact us so we can work together on a resolution before leaving negative feedback.

1. Do you provide a proof or mock-up of my printable files prior to purchase?
While I would love to provide everyone a sample of the invitation, before purchase I work on files as payment is received. Files take time to create. You will be sent a proof after purchase to approve for print or to print on your own.

2.What is a printable or digital invitation?
A printable or digital file is still a personalized file that will be sent to your email once complete. I do not provide a file to add your own information to. This protects our brand and ensures your items looks as close to sample as possible.

3.How long and where do l I receive my proof?
Please allow 1-3 business days for your custom and personalized proof. This will be found via email, these can go to spam, so always check that folder, too. Be sure to include your event details at checkout, to avoid any delay with sending your proof.

4.Printed invitations take how long and what is included with my order?
Please allow 5 working days, from proof approval for your printed invitations. This time really depends on the edit process. Printed invitations include a front design on 5” x 7” premium card-stock. You will receive white envelopes to mail your invitations.

5.How to I place an order?
At checkout in note to seller box please provide all important information for your order. This includes sample text like the item purchasing. Also, include the appropriate colors choices (if different then sample) in this box. Special wording requests, or any other changes you would like.

6.Where can I print my printable /digital purchases?
While I always recommend my professional printing services, you can print your items locally at home, office supply stores, photo-labs (not recommended, but okay) or print shops. You would be responsible for the quality of the prints when you take the file only purchase.

7.Instant downloads are these customized?
Instant download files are not customized. These are offered at a fraction of the cost of a custom matching file for last minute needs. We do offer custom matching add-on items to complement out vast selection of invitations.

8.Can I customize colors?
Most of our invitations designs do include custom colors, wording and fonts. Invitations that do not include colors changes may have custom wording. Our description of items will detail color changes and if available.

9. Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer refunds on custom order, instant downloads or printed invitations and stationery. The majority of our items are available instantly or have been customized for you. The work is done once an item has been sent.

10.What paper do you recommend?
We suggest using a bright white card-stock for all your printable items. Our designs have been tested and print best on heavy –duty white paper. Choosing to print on photo-paper is acceptable, but we do not encourage. Still want to print on photo-paper use a matte low-gloss paper.

11.How do I save my files?
Please do not save your files to your smartphone or tablet, this can ruin the quality of the image, due to the size of the file. Please save to a USB stick or use the print locations online upload system to send your files.

12.What type of paper is used if I order printing?
All of my items are printed at a locally owned professional print shop on heavy 100 lbs smooth cardstock. Other paper weight and texture is available upon request.

13. How do I assemble the party items after printing?
