Helping You Display Your Love for Home!

Hello! I am the owner of All Over the Map Studios. I am a one woman show, in charge of research, design, marketing, branding and distribution!

Are you looking for a modern and fun way to display your love of the city or cities that you call home??
My colourful typographic maps add a touch of whimsy and an “I love my neighbourhood” to any space. Born and raised in Kitchener, many of my maps are of Ontario communities. However, I accept custom orders, so you'll also find maps for such far away places as Chennai, India and the Netherlands.

What's new in my shop?
I add new maps to my shop regularly - sometimes weekly!
In 2020, with a little extra design time on my hands, I actually added 31 new maps to my Etsy shop, including fast favourites such as Collingwood, France, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, Kerala India and a map of Canada's National Parks.
In 2021, I have designed custom maps for customers, including Cayuga, Sauble Beach and Latvia, but am also taking the time to design some maps that have been on my personal "to do" list for years ... maps of some of Ontario's Northern and Eastern counties, as well as Provincial Park maps for many of our country's great provinces. Did you know that Manitoba has 92 Provincial Parks, including Wilderness Parks, Natural Parks, Heritage Parks, Recreation Parks, Park Reserves and an Indigenous Traditional Use Park? Me neither. But I do now!

How does my design process work?
For my city maps, I research the unique layout of each city - both its boundary & neighbourhoods - using city planning maps, real estate boundaries and tourism offices. I then set to work on my Mac to accurately plot the map and create visual interest through font orientation and sizing.
I also create “theme” maps, such as:
• "Scotchland" - a map of Scotland, divided into the countries scotch distilling regions, with the most popular distilleries named.
• "Ours to Discover" - an Ontario Parks map, with all 108 active Provincial Parks.

Once designed, I use a high-quality, local printing company to produce each print.
Each print is then packaged in an archival, clear envelope, with a 4-ply (approx. 1/16" thick) double-sided, white illustration board made from 100% recycled fiber, for support.
My maps are now ready to ship and be framed & displayed by their new owners.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
If anyone is unsatisfied with my work for whatever reason, I will happily return or exchange it if you contact me within 2 weeks purchase and return it to me in its original condition. I will refund purchase price minus shipping, and you must pay return shipping.

My preferred method of payment is Paypal. However, if you would prefer to mail me a personal check, this isn't a problem. Once the check is received and cashed, I will put your item in the mail.

For Paypal payments, all payments must be received within 3 days of purchase, unless other arrangements have been made. If no payment is received after this time, then the sale will be canceled and the item will be relisted in my shop. I will make every effort to contact you if there is a problem, and I am happy to work out an arrangement.
Shipping
***Update - November 30, 2020***
If you order an 8"x10" or 11"x14" map, to anywhere in Canada or the United States, I ship it with Canada Post, regular mail. In normal times, this usually results in Canadian customers receiving their maps in 5-7 days, and US customers in 10-12 days.

Service disruptions caused by the pandemic, and unprecedented shipping volumes, are resulting in shipments taking longer.

If you want an 8x10 or 11x14 map to go tracked, via UPS, you can upgrade your shipping as an option at check out.

All 12"x16" maps go UPS courier.
