Today will be awesome.

I live in the Central Valley of California. Here in the Delta, the Sacramento River empties all of its sediment in a wide expanse of land and marsh. It's a magical place where farms, waterfowl, salt + fresh waters and incredible sunsets meet.

Clay can be like a fickle toddler--love you to bits one minute and completely frustrate you the next. It teaches me so much about patience, exploration, embracing imperfection and letting go. Thank you for stopping by.

I accept Paypal and Credit Cards through direct checkout as the only forms of payment. If you would like to pay via check or money order, please convo me before purchase so we can work something out.
I try to ship 2-3 times a week and always use the ETSY SHIPPING ADDRESS. I find it to be the most accurate address. If you would like to ship to a different address, please tell me in the comments section, convo me via etsy, or e-mail me directly at alluvialshop [!at]

Depending on the time of purchase, it can be between 2-5 days before I can get your package on its way. I ship First Class whenever possible. Insurance is not included in the shipping costs. If you would like to add insurance, just send me an e-mail or convo me. I am happy to send you an adjusted invoice.

Please note that the 2-5 days to ship is in addition to any production time. Custom orders can take 3-5 weeks to fire. I do my best to include this with every listing to avoid any miscommunication. Please do not purchase any listings if you need custom work sooner than that window.
Refunds and Exchanges
Because of the unique nature of my items, many are one-of-a-kind and not easily reproduced. I really want you to be happy with your purchase, so if you are not happy, please let me know! We will figure it out together. I do my best to carefully pack each order before shipment but sometimes breakage occurs. When this happens, please send me a pic of the broken item(s) and I will refund your purchase minus shipping.
Additional policies and FAQs
*Turnaround time on custom orders* I love custom orders, but please be prepared to wait 5-8 weeks. Custom orders over $50 require pre-payment. For orders over $100, we can arrange to pay in installments. Just ask! Creating ceramics is a time consuming multi-step process that involves firing the kiln (at least) twice and on occasion, depending on the results, starting over from scratch. I'm picky and want you to have a product of the highest quality and craftsmanship. Thank you for your patience!

All pieces are fired with lead-free, food safe, non-toxic glazes as per California Proposition 65, passed in 1986.

I fire my pieces to their vitreous state, according to the temp requirements of the clay body. This makes them strong, but not invincible. Although they are safe for dishwasher + microwave use, I recommend washing them by hand and treating them with care.
