Announcement   Hi, everything you see here is made by me slowly and one at the time.If I tell you I will reproduce a piece I'm shamelessly lying to you as I usually can't no matter how well intentioned I am. My work moves fairly fast and I work in very small series which I don't revisit. Things that are left from previous series get on sale not because there's something wrong with them, but because I move forward in my process .
I hope you'll find something that speaks to you.
I'm interested in collaborative processes , if you have an idea send me a message.
For those of you who don't know I have a fair shipping policy.I ship priority domestic in most cases and I adjust the shipping to the real value either way.Usually it works by you getting a small refund after I ship.Sometimes international orders need some tweaking which means we'll be in touch before I ship.I answer convos real fast so feel free to chat me up. lavinia_hanachiuc on instagram

Beautiful mug! I collect face jugs but am branching out to vases mugs and other pottery and this item is the bomb!

About

Step right up

I started this shop as a place to show some of my work ,as I tend to be reclusive and secretive about it. Social media did wonders for me and millions of introverts and when it became too crowded I quit that too.
I met great people on Etsy in the old, old times and forged friendships that I hope will last a lifetime.
I wish I could say this shop is a business but it's more like an extension of my studio. If I like you I might drag you in and give you cup after cup of strong drinks and ask all kinds of things about your life.

Payment
The items ship 24/48 hours after the payment is cleared,I can discuss alternative methods of payment , only Paypal is listed for now.
In case of nonpayment after 3 days I will send a message asking you if it's OK to cancel the sale and re-list the item.
Taxes and duty fees are the buyer's responsibility.
Shipping
In combined orders I try my best to ship Usps priority flat rate which is the most convenient for you the buyer.
I also try to insure all items over 50 dollars.
I will promptly refund any overcharge in shipping when that happens.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
If requested on larger orders I will give an exact quote to all my international customers .
I ship all items under 2 kg (4 lb) USPS first class international. There is no insurance option in that class.
If in spite of my best packaging skills ,the item gets damaged the most I can offer is store credit on the original price.
We can discuss UPS or FedEx shipping quotes which are more expensive before I ship if you would want to go that way.

All items over 2kg ship international priority by USPS rules and it will be most probably more than what I charged.
I will contact you again and let you make a decision after I make the package.I'm sorry I don't have too many options pottery is bulky and heavy and it needs serious padding.

Please contact me at the time of purchase if you have specific preferences regarding shipping.I will try to accommodate them.
Thank you for your understanding and for taking the time to read the policies.
Refunds and Exchanges
Cancellation and returns are fine , no questions asked.
If the item has not been shipped ,you will be refunded all the money including the shipping.
If the item has reached you please make sure to send it back to me within 14 days and I will refund the original price minus the shipping fee when the item is delivered safely back.
Please contact me and I'm sure we can work things out to your satisfaction.
Additional policies and FAQs
FAQ

1.LEAD: I use only lead free glazes.

2.MICROWAVE: You may use the items I make in the microwave.Depending on the concentration of metallic oxides in the glaze the items might get different degrees of hot.The heat is also determined by the porosity of the body , and the amount of water the body retains. Please use caution and common sense and never use a damaged pot in the microwave (chip ,crack ,dull sound)
3.OVEN : I will mark the pieces I make for that purpose as bake ware. They need to be started in a cold oven and you should avoid thermal shock with all your ceramic pieces.
I will use a liner glaze but in time most likely there will be a pattern developing on it called crazing.Crazed and unglazed bakeware need to be washed in hot water and soap and dried thoroughly between uses to avoid bacterial growth.

4.DISHWASHER ; all items are dishwasher safe I would advice hand washing to prolong their life but I seldom do it with my own dishes.

5.FOOD SAFETY ISSUES;
this is an ongoing discussion .
A properly fired pot with a stabile glaze be it industrial or handmade will not leach chemicals in your food. That would be my main concern because chemicals are bad for us.If you have concerns is a good idea to ask lots questions of the person responsable for making it.
Most of my work is made in my home studio and I use commercial glazes rated for dinnerware use which I fire to the rated temperature with a physical indication of heatwork a pyrometric cone..

CRAZING AND BACTERIAL GROWTH.Any non sterile surface holds bacteria to one degree or another.crazing is the pattern that sometimes appears in the surface of the glaze when the glass coefficient of expansion is different than the clay's.
Most people avoid crackle surfaces in food intended items because improper washing could encourage bacterial growth..
Many times crazing will develop over time if a hot /cold cycle is repeated enough and I found that to be often true with bake ware even if it starts out without any crazing.
In different cultures crazing is regarded different. In my country, Romania I don't remember handmade bowls which didn't have a crazed surface .
In Japan the progressive staining of the crazed pattern with tea inside the tea bowls while they were aging is regarded as an aesthetic plus.
However while I am personally using lots of dinnerware and bake ware with crazing in it I will make sure I identify when i use crackle glazes.
