I looked at a lot of artist's work before I chose Mary for my commission and she didn't disappoint. While all GSDs may look alike to some, those of us who have been lucky enough to be owned by them can tell them at a glance. All of Abby's personality has been captured in this piece of beautiful work and I can't recommend her enough.

About

Jack of All Trades, Master of None finds calling!

I have always been a crafty person, but it was mostly for gifts and I wasn't all that great at any one thing! I could sew pillows and curtains, did a little wood burning, painting, crocheting, then weaving, spinning... the list goes on... it wasn't until I obtained a few Alpacas and was dead set on finding a way to use that wonderful fiber, that I began wet felting and needle felting... and it still has taken me years to find my niche! I didn't think I could do good detailed pet portraits because I couldn't paint them! My things were always "cute" or "nice" and now, after years of riding horses and tending to my farm, I find that I really CAN do this! I feel a connection when people tell me their pets' story and how loved they are/were... I have injuries from falling off horses (people told me I need to quit riding: I always said I had to quit falling off!) and the last one really did change my desire... I still have one horse, Misty, who seems perfectly content to stand around all day and nicker every time she sees me walk past the window... but now my desire is to felting animals... perhaps life's lessons in the years of being around animals so much has allowed me to do something I would not have been able to do years past? Please allow me the opportunity to meet your precious friend and felt a portrait of them!! Thank you for reading this!

Having animals has always been a way of life, but I recently discovered my love for them is showing in my fiber art!
