5 out of 5 starsI was hesitant to purchase this pattern based on reviews. I am glad I did. No special rulers needed. Half square triangles, squares, rectangles and flying geese. I had to read thru the pattern 3 times to fully comprehend. I prefer all cutting to be done before sewing so I made a cutting sheet. I used the no waste flying geese method instead of how the pattern was written using the rulers. Read the pattern, then proceed based on how you prefer to cut/sew. You will like the result. I also modified the lower right corner color to be more symmetrical.

5 out of 5 starsPattern was easy to follow although I used simpler ways to make the stars and HST’s. Made this for a Quilt of Valor. My daughter saw it and saw it as stars or snowflakes over mountains so I will be making it again soon in different colors, plus making it to fit a queen size bed! Thanks!

My journey to Art
I fell in love with quilting quite by accident. My dad encouraged me ( okay demanded) to make him a Quilt - and in the process I fell in love with it. I have been quilting for almost 10 years now - It is a great way to keep my sanity in a crazy life with three boys. I do the whole thing - from the choosing of the fabrics to the quilting of the quilt, and even the binding. These quilts are all handmade and filled with lots of good wishes.
I am also a photographer. I have loved capturing images that way I see them for years. Thank you for stopping by my little creative corner of the world. I hope you enjoy what you see.
