Beautiful fabric, expert tailoring, thoughtful packaging - this dress was a bit of an impulse buy, but I'm so glad I went for it. I'm sure it will be getting a lot of play over the holidays and I hope to buy more Canadian-made clothing from Amanda soon.

This dress is a dream. So flattering, and so well made. It arrived in no time at all. This is my third Amanda Moss piece - I love each one!

This striped dress is such a versatile addition to my closet. I love that it's an easy shape yet looks so chic at the same time. I was lucky enough to snag one of these beauties, as only a few were made. So glad Amanda was able to track one down for me. She is wonderful. Took the time to help me figure out what size I needed and then found an extra for me! So grateful for her great communication and quick response. Her handwritten note was lovely to read when I got my beautifully wrapped dressed. I had such a great personal shopping experience. I highly recommend this shop and I'll definitely be on the look out for another beautiful,
handmade, one of a kind piece.

isn't that what life is all about? well, probably not, but definitely at the top of my list!
before launching my brand in 2013, i worked as a designer for a few different montreal brands for nearly 12 years. it was a great experience, and i learned so much about the industry, but i started to feel somewhat disconnected from the mainstream fashion industry. all of a sudden, it felt too big and too fast, and kind of silly. i wasn't feeling as connected with each design as i wanted. i realized the only way to regain my connection, was to slow down and give each style my full attention. it was then that i left the corporate world and crossed over to the warm and fuzzy world of independent design.
it's no secret that my sewing skills are, well, not great. for 12 years all of my designs were manufactured overseas. its a little like starting all over again, but its very important to me, that all of my garments be made in montreal. i've made great new connections, with local small scale sewing collectives, pattern makers, and cutters. who knew? you can actually make stuff right here in canada.
as im still in the very early stages of starting my small business, i am working from home, which luckily is an industrial style loft with huge windows. i no longer have a dining room... industrial cutting tables take up a lot of space. i cut all of the production my self. i like to be sure patterns are aligned and fabric is free of flaws.
for now my focus is on vintage inspired dresses. im hoping to add blouses and skirts in the near future. i use high quality fabrics, many of which are woven in italy. my goal is to use natural fibers, as much as possible, such as cotton, linen, and silk.
