4 out of 5 starsAmanda was very communicative and is a talented artist. The only thing I would say is my piece was a lot bigger (came 24 by 18inches) than I purchased—this is a little inconvenient for the space I have and the frame I purchased. Otherwise, a great experience.

5 out of 5 starsIt's a lovely and unique print. The subject looks strangely like my daughter who loves octopus things, and it's been sent to her.

5 out of 5 starsWorking wth Amanda was a great experience! She is so talented and kind. The print was shipped with lots of padding which ensured it's safe arrival and I can't wait to frame it. Thank you so much! :)

5 out of 5 starsThe art is lovely but I highly recommend marking the outer envelope "Fragile - Do not bend" as it arrived pretty bent up, particularly around the corners. There were no creases however, so once it's in the frame it should be fine, but it's a small precaution worth taking for future customers who may be more particular about it. Cheers

5 out of 5 starsThis artist was wonderful to deal with and shipping was prompt. When the painting arrived, I was delighted. I have seen paintings in art galleries that don't even come close to this painting. The composition, the coloring, the warmth, and the expressiveness of the facial characteristics are impressive. I couldn't be happier. Mahalo!

Talent and Skill
The Maui Hands represents me, and has for five years. I have been a painter professionally for ten years. I have painted about 300 paintings. I have made 1000 drawings. I can work in any medium. I am an expert on the human form from head to toe.
I am looking for independence from the taste-makers of the Gallery. The Gallery has it's own motives and values, of which I sometimes agree. Though, due to the capricious machinations of the market I am left with surplus works. Works that belong in someone's house. I must find out who.
Some of the work you find are works that were rejected or hung without success in the Gallery. These works deserve attention. But if they stay with me too long I rework them, sometimes completely.
I am an artist not a collector. My job is to create endlessly until I die, not store work that is finished.
Art unites the spiritual and material realms. My works span a huge range of color, style, medium, and subject. My most recent works are oil paintings on Wood panel and canvas. I change and evolve very quickly. Real artist do. I see and explore the world through images. I think in images. My visual language is vast. So, why would I limit myself to a narrow area when I can paint the entire world?
Therefore I must have freedom to sell my work.
I will begin with older works 1-3 years old, and proceed to works too brave for the Gallery setting.

I learned to paint when I was very young. It was an innate talent. I am a self directed learner, and a bit of a rebel. I have now been selling art for ten years. I have apprenticed with Dario Campanile. He said, “you are like a reborn Master.”
