This shop found its beginnings with the birth of my first child a decade ago. Fresh out of art school with very little time to sink into a painting practice, I sought out ways to express myself creatively with a baby in arms. This naturally translated to creating beautiful handmade items for my sweet baby...then toddler...and then eventually trio of children.
I recently took a two year break after the birth of my third child. During this hiatus, I spent a lot of time revisiting what I wanted to offer with this shop and with my creativity. My answer is this eclectic offering of beautiful items for the littles in your life. From the all natural, handmade toys to the sweet wearables to keep your small one wrapped in warmth, whimsy and handmade love. For the first time, I will also be offering limited slots for unique portraiture- which is very exciting for me.
I place great emphasis on creating items that are beautiful to look at, pleasant to hold and/or wear and that are crafted from safe, all natural materials. I model my toys on the Waldorf aesthetic- using 100% wool for the felt, stuffing and any crocheted components. These toys are incredibly durable- we STILL have toys kicking around our home that I made close to a decade ago and that have survived much love from three children! My handmade wearable items are always created using either 100% wool or cotton and are created with dedicated workmanship that renders them heirloom pieces to be handed down.
