The ring was fantastic and the communication and customer service was even better than that. What a pleasure to do business with.

Updates

You can see the Sterling sheet metal I used to cut out the mountain peaks, and the hammer that I used to texture the sun in this photo. Next step will be to solder the pieces in place and then oxidize and polish it before adding it to a chain.

I started out making the earring on the right, and got a lot more creative. The extra wire you see above the hand cut feather will become the earwire. Now to do the same things to the feather on the right...

Just finished cutting out the adorable pine tree. Next step will be to sand off the rough edges, and then solder into place with the crescent moon charm.

About

Over 15 Years of Creativity and Learning

I began making jewelry almost 16 years ago, starting out in the beaded jewelry industry. Then, a little over 8 years ago, my husband's job in the Navy brought us to beautiful Anacortes, WA. It's truly a place like no other in its beauty, with islands and mountains surrounding us in every direction.

Not long after moving to the Pacific Northwest, I made the switch from making beaded jewelry to making metalwork jewelry. This switch opened up a whole new world of design possibilities for me, and has allowed me to create pieces that showcase my love for this area of the world. I am very passionate about sharing my love of the Pacific Northwest scenery in my creations, and hope you can see that passion in each piece.

Sawing, stamping, hammering, etching, riveting, soldering and painting are just a few of the techniques I use to create each piece. I'm also constantly learning new techniques to bring new and different designs to my store. Check back often, as I am always adding new pieces to my collection. And if you don't see what you want, click "request a custom order" to ask if I can make it. Custom orders are a huge part of my business!

Make sure you are following me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/AmbersWhimsy and on Instagram at www.Instagram.com/AmbersWhimsy. Here you will be able to check out all of the photos of current and past pieces, and get the latest scoop on sales and free giveaways. If you live locally in Washington state, you can find my creations at Donatello Anacortes, and Re-Feather Your Nest (Mt. Vernon and Anacortes), and at the Anacortes Vintage Market in Anacortes, WA twice a year (October and April).

Thanks for checking out my shop, and I hope you love your shopping experience with Touch of Whimsy!!!

Additional policies and FAQs
Want to place a custom order? Simply send me a message letting me know what you are wanting, and I'll see what I can do to help you.

Care of items: With proper care, your items will last for years to come. To help prolong your jewelry wearing experience, do not wear your item in the shower or in the pool, or while playing sports or any other heavy duty activity. Sterling silver, brass and copper will tarnish or develop a patina over time. Some people love the look of metal with patina. If you aren't one of them, never fear! I include a small polishing pad with almost all purchases. It has special micro-abrasives in it to help keep your item sparkly and shiny. It can be used until both sides are completely black, then tossed. You can also use a polishing cloth (Sunshine is my favorite!), which can be purchased online.
