In 2009 my husband's job as an electrician became slow due to the economic climate and I had just lost my job. Add our 9 yr old daughter into the mix and you have some tight purse strings. I needed a gift for a friend's new baby so I had to come up with something I could make with the supplies I had at home. Unfortunately I was stumped.

After a few days of tossing around ideas in my head, I sat down to watch Martha Stewart make a mobile from wire and paper punches. BAM! I didn't have the money to get any paper punches so I would have to improvise. I remembered that the nursery theme was cherry blossoms, why couldn't I make origami cherry blossoms and hang cranes which symbolize a long, happy life. I made it, she loved it and a few facebook posting later I was what I now know was the creation of my business.

Since that first primitive mobile, my mobile creating has turned into finely detailed work that feeds my spirit. They have gone from hot glue and glass beads to hand painted and wired flowers and branches and swarovski crystals.

Each mobile takes between 12 hours to 2 weeks to create depending on the size and preparation needed.

In between mobile making I love to put my marketing and visual merchandising experience to good use. I am a visual merchandise consultant to small retail stores. My favorite time of the year is decorating clients homes, businesses and stores for the holiday season.

Right now my true passion is paper and creating a mobile more enchanting than the next. I like to call them "Paper Meditations" because when a slight breeze hits them and they swirl and twirl, I dare you not to stop and stare at it and lose yourself in the moment.
