Announcement   Designer and creator of unique jewelry: artisan ribbon flower bib necklaces, bracelets, and rings and knitted/felted bangle bracelets.

My ribbon necklaces, rings, and bracelets are made from the individually handmade ribbon roses, flowers, rosettes, daisies and leaves (that I create). I use high-quality wired French ribbon (it's not just "French inspired" -- it literally comes from a small factory in France) to create my ribbon gardens.

My felted bangle and cuff bracelets are knitted from 100% soft merino wool, felted, and then decorated with embroidery, beads, or needle-felted polka dots.

IF YOU'RE IN HOUSTON, you can see my work on exhibit at the Space gallery on Dunvale at Westheimer!

About

Credit Where Credit is Due

It's all in the name. When I was in pre-school, I was tormented daily by a little girl whose name was “America.” (Note: this is not a thinly-disguised fable). Every day, America would beat me up. I had always learned that fighting wasn’t nice, but even pacifists have limits. On the day I reached that limit, I socked America in the nose, and ran behind the classroom door to see what would happen. America was rendered speechless and blubbering by my rare demonstration of non-peaceful resistance, even as the teacher asked her, “What’s wrong? Who hurt you?” And I, who feared obscurity more than punishment peeked out from behind the door and hollered, “Amy did it!”

The lesson (maybe this is a fable after all): You might do good, and you might do bad, but you must always, always claim credit.

So fast forward to today -- a full-grown woman who still can't sit still and can't help but peek out from around the corner. I need tasks, I need to be busy, and let's face it: I have an ungodly amount of ribbon.

I've needed to do something with it, so I taught myself how to make roses and flowers out of this stunning wired French ribbon (it's an addiction, really). Soon, I had an ungodly amount of flowers. So then I decided to make jewelry. Wash, rinse, and repeat when it came to falling in love with knitted merino wool yarn and creating knitted and felted bangle bracelets.

I love it. I'm hooked. I wear my jewelry all the time and I unashamedly love the compliments I receive on my work. Amy Did It! (Nothing beats wearable art for instant feedback).

So welcome to my shop -- I'm so pleased that you stopped by! I hope you'll find something you like, something that inspires you, something that attracts you nothing but compliments, confidence, and good energy.

If you see something you like but would love another color more, just ask! I'll be happy to customize something for you. Want to create your own jewelry or accessories and need the flowers to do it? I'll be glad to sell them to you individually or in a lot (discounts offered for large orders).

Thank you again for stopping by -- I sincerely appreciate your interest!

Additional policies and FAQs
Custom Orders (aka "Amy&____DidIt"):
If you're looking for a particular color that is not listed, I'd love to specially create a new piece for you. Price will vary depending on materials, but will generally be the same cost as similarly-listed items. I will require half-payment from you after we agree upon the general design of an item but before I begin working on your actual item or before any additional materials I may need are purchased. Just ask!

Customizing a Title:
For the bead-and-wire necklaces, sometimes our customers want their royal titles to reflect a specific attribute or aspect of their personality (for example, the "Perfectionist Princess of Pottery and the Papaya" instead of "Beautiful Baroness of Boy-Chasing and Blueberries"). Unlike other royalty, I'm flexible. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll be happy to help you create a new title.
