I’m a designer and creator of unique made-to-order jewelry and ornaments.
While I started my shop creating artisan ribbon flower bib necklaces, bracelets, and rings (and I still enjoy those), I lost a beloved pet, and I wanted to learn how to make a portrait in her honor. I took online classes and invested in a bead collection and whoooo boy I was off and running! My endeavor began as a way to honor friends’ pets while making a contribution to a non-profit I‘m involved in, but now I‘m expanding that to others. I would love to create a portrait of your pet for you.
To tell you a little bit about the non-profit, the profit from all of my sales goes directly to Books for Development, a 501(c)(3) that aims to end the book famine in developing parts of the world by establishing libraries. We receive donated books, the all-volunteer team sorts them, and they are shipped around the world to create libraries. You can learn more about Books for Development here: www.BooksForDevelopment.com.

5 out of 5 starsAmy was a pleasure to work with. Her hand made flowers are magnificent ! I am using them to adorn hats and get many compliments. I am getting stopped at the mall and in the grocery store to ask me about the flowers. I am thrilled to have discovered this amazingly talented and professional woman.

About AmyDidIt
Credit Where Credit is Due
It's all in the name. When I was in pre-school, I was tormented daily by a little girl whose name was “America.” (Note: this is not a thinly-disguised fable). Every day, America would beat me up. I had always learned that fighting wasn’t nice, but even pacifists have limits. On the day I reached that limit, I socked America in the nose, and ran behind the classroom door to see what would happen. America was rendered speechless and blubbering by my rare demonstration of non-peaceful resistance, even as the teacher asked her, “What’s wrong? Who hurt you?” And I, who feared obscurity more than punishment peeked out from behind the door and hollered, “Amy did it!”
The lesson (maybe this is a fable after all): You might do good, and you might do bad, but you must always, always claim credit.
So fast forward to today -- a full-grown woman who still can't sit still and can't help but peek out from around the corner. I need tasks, I need to be busy, and let's face it: I have an ungodly amount of ribbon, beads, and sequins.
I've needed to do something with it, so I taught myself how to make pet portraits after having learned how to make ribbon roses. What started as a fun thing to do for friends became something I could expand on while raising money for a non-profit I‘m involved in.
I love it. I'm hooked. I wear my jewelry all the time (I have a jeans jacket covered with pins) and I unashamedly love the compliments I receive on my work. Amy Did It! (Nothing beats wearable art for instant feedback).
So welcome to my shop -- I'm so pleased that you stopped by! I hope you'll find something you like, something that inspires you, something that attracts you nothing but compliments, confidence, and good energy.
If you see something you like but would love another color more, just ask! I'll be happy to customize something for you. Want to create your own jewelry or accessories and need the flowers to do it? I'll be glad to sell them to you individually or in a lot (discounts offered for large orders).
Thank you again for stopping by -- I sincerely appreciate your interest!
