My hands are always cold, so these are PERFECT for me :) I got the zinc colored ones - what a gorgeous color. Very soft and warm - thank you so much!

About

ART is the center of the real world -- Isaiah Zagar

I have been an artist all my life and have worked in a wide variety of mediums throughout my artistic career. My love of fiber, color, and the natural world, paired with the desire to make functional art pieces, is the continual inspiration behind my original collection of clothing and accessories.

I have been designing my wearable art pieces since 2013 under the label Amy LaRoux and am the sole owner/creator of my business ~ a "one woman shop", so to speak. Every detail you experience has been crafted with thought, loving care, and my own two hands. I imagine and fabricate every piece by hand knitting with needles, one stitch at a time. Most pieces are begun with a loose idea in mind and, through the knitting process, slowly evolve into a final, one-of-a-kind work of wearable art.

I knit with high quality fibers that are sourced ethically and responsibly. Most of my fibers come from animals living and grazing in the US, Canada, South America, and the United Kingdom. I also use organic plant fibers in my work such as cotton, linen, and viscose. I am always searching for new fiber companies to work with and source locally and via small business whenever possible.

I'm very excited to be a part of the Etsy community and am happy to continue sharing my work with the world.

Thank you for stopping by ~ I'm so glad you're here!

For my fellow knitters, I offer many of my designs as knitting patterns at www.AmyLaRouxPatternShop.etsy.com
