It is a beautiful piece, I am really happy with it! (I ordered from Canada - do not trust the package traking; it went well for a while, but then the traking got lost, but the package arrived!)

The Tiny Love Notes arrived last night...in this darling silver box!!! I appreciate all the time and care you put into this special order. The quality and uniformity is great as is the quality of the paper used. The notes will make super Christmas gift tags (with white and gold ribbon). Thank you for your beautiful interpretation of my idea!!! You are wonderful!!

About

Pretty Shiny Things for Geeks, Friends and Pets

I'm a Caltech-educated scientist-turned-software project manager, and a geek at heart. I started making jewelry by taking apart and recycling ugly department store and thrift store pieces.

I spent many happy hours in the 80s programming my Commodore 64 computer while all the other neighborhood kids played outside. Then I spent a lot of time in college and graduate school playing with molecules and cells.

Now I balance my passion for computers and technology with a love for creating sparkly, sometimes colorful, unique handcrafted jewelry and quirky gifts with a science theme.

I discovered metalwork and use my love for the written word to make hand stamped metal ID tags, keychains, wedding vow cards and more. I love that my customers trust me enough to give my pieces for their most special occasions.

Things I love: symmetry, beagles, sterling silver, anything sparkly, beads, papercrafting supplies, chemistry, rottweilers, dachshunds, Finnish metal bands and BMW M3 blue.

I donate $1 to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona for every pet ID tag sold. We got our sweet Peanut dog there in 2002.

Thanks for visiting Anandi's Laboratory! I hope you enjoy shopping here. Come back often to check for new items!

Everything is made by my own two little hands in my smoke-free studio.

I love custom orders - some of my most fun projects have come from customers' custom requests. You can use my stamped tags for all kinds of things, so use your creativity and let me know what you want!! I've made everything from a wedding guest book nameplate, to runner ID tags for shoes to kids' backpack tags, to doggie and people luggage tags. People have even used my jewelry to propose to their sweeties!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Please pay immediately after purchase on Etsy. You can use Paypal or check out directly through Etsy.

Sorry, I do not accept checks or money orders at this time, nor am I interested in offers to trade.

If you are local (Seattle or Eastside) and want to pick up your purchase in person to save on shipping, just let me know in Message to Seller. I'll refund the shipping price and we can arrange to meet for delivery.

**Note: WA state residents will be charged 9.5% sales tax.
Shipping
Ready-made items ship via USPS 1st class mail, within 2-3 days of order.

Custom made items will take me 10-12 days to create and will usually ship USPS 1st Class Mail unless otherwise specified in the listing. Some of the wedding-related items ship Priority Mail for better service. I can add a gift card if you like.

Pet ID tags ship in a flat envelope, but all other items ship as a 'parcel' and within the US they have Delivery Confirmation. Unfortunately, tracking is not available on packages traveling outside the US unless you want to upgrade to Express Mail - let me know if you're interested.

If you need your item sooner, please send me an Etsy conversation (use the 'contact anandi' link on my store homepage) and we can work out a faster shipping method and the additional charges. Rush custom orders will be an additional $15 per item. My current order load will determine whether I can accommodate a rush order. I can offer either USPS Priority or Priority Express Mail, but those options may be limited (and expensive) outside of the US.

I do ship worldwide, but I am not responsible for customs duties owed on packages. I also cannot mark purchases as "gift" or change the value reported on the customs form.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be thrilled with your purchase. I will accept returns for non-personalized items over $20 if you notify me within 3 days of receipt, and ship the item back to me without damage. I do not refund the shipping cost.

For custom personalized items, I will work with you to make it right. Just contact me and let me know your concern.

I guarantee my work for 1 year from date of purchase, for normal, careful wear of jewelry items. Just contact me and we can work out the repair.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that the nature of handstamped items is that they *look* handmade, rather than machine-engraved. I try my best to keep everything straight and even, but I am not a robot. If you are really unhappy with your item (of course I hope you won't be!), please contact me and let's work something out.

I would love to hear from you regarding a custom order, or a wholesale inquiry. If you see something you like in my 'Sold Items' list, and want one for yourself, just ask. Chances are, I'll be able to make it again.

Thanks again for shopping at Anandi's Laboratory!
