About

Traditional Techniques | Modern Design

My passion for jewelry began when I was a child. My Mom, who loves to collect antiques would set me free while she shopped and chatted with her favorite proprietor and dear friend "Aunt Toni". Being no more than three feet tall at the time, the only thing at eye level the were dazzling displays of fine jewelry. As I got older, Aunt Toni would let me spend my time in the store trying on various pieces and soaking up as much information and experience as possible.

Always in motion and in search of a creative outlet, I experimented with and took classes in every genre of craft and arts possible including card making, scrap-booking, painting, drawing, sewing and photography.

I decided to turn my creativity and love of problem solving into a daytime career and studied Mechanical Engineering at Boston University and eventually landed a job in the field designing specialty doors.

I'm a tinkerer: I love finding projects to keep my hands busy. This mindset is what eventually brought me to jewelry design. A strong believer in DIY, I dove head first into jewelry making. What began as a small hobby trying to recreate themes I found in fashion magazines, has become a serious labor of love. My analytical and detail oriented background has given me the ability to teach myself techniques as I've needed them and find new and inventive ways to apply my inspiration.

Like my Mom, I have always loved antiques and also take inspiration from Victorian, Edwardian and Art Nouveau themes and items. My starting point in crafting included the Victorian craft of French Beading Flowers. Using this traditional technique and others, I add my own clever flair to create modern and unique designs that fit in everywhere from the catwalk to the sidewalk..

I try to only list items that are ready to ship. Items will ship within three business days from date of purchase maximum. I try to get things in the mail as soon as payment is received.

All items shipped in Priority Mail flat rate boxes within the Unites States. This means that typical transit times are up to 3 days depending on your location. For international orders, I ship USPS First Class Mail International.

Please allow up to a week of transit time for your item(s) inside the US and up to 3 weeks internationally. Delivery time depends on the date of shipment. These dates are a worst case scenario so don't fret! Your item will most likely arrive much sooner. If you have a specific need by date, please send me a message here or via email (anchoredarcher@gmail.com) and I am always happy to try to accommodate your request. If express shipping is requested, an additional fee will apply.

I ship to the exact address provided on Etsy. If you have moved, please update your address before ordering or I am not responsible or able to help you in locating your packages. When available I am happy to send you a tracking number for your package- and once I have done so I encourage you to keep track of it. If after a reasonable amount of time, the item is not delivered, please message me to work out a refund/replacement.

Please also note that Priority Mail insures your items for up to $50. All insurance above that is to be added at your discretion. If extra insurance is required, please be sure to add the Insurance listing ($3) to your purchase.

For some of the more expensive items (over $100) extra insurance is already added into the shipping price.
Refunds and Exchanges
I put a lot of love into creating your item so I hope that you love it too! I strive to provide accurate and detailed pictures and descriptions of each creation. I also work with all natural gemstones. This means that each stone has its own character which might include natural inclusions, flaws and color discrepancies. These characteristics are not imperfections and will not be considered as damages.

In the event that your item arrives damaged, or you are unhappy with your purchase, I will be happy to try to fix it for you or offer you a refund or exchange, minus all return shipping costs.

Prior to returning items, please contact me to discuss the issue and how to resolve it. Items sent to me without a prior conversation will be returned to sender with no refund.

My return policy expires 7 days after you receive the item.

All earring return requests will have a $5 handling fee deducted from the return amount to replace the earring wires.

The Following items are non-returnable and not eligible for exchange:

*Items that have been worn or damaged due to client negligence.
*All Custom Items
*All Hair Pieces and Combs
*Not in the same condition as it was shipped
* Post marked more than 7 days from the original received date.
*Items returned without notice.
Refunds (minus shipping and handling costs) will be processed within 3 days after I receive the returned item.

I expect the care I take in packaging your item to be taken in packaging for return. If otherwise, and it results in the returned item being damaged or lost during transit, I reserve the right not to refund.
Additional policies and FAQs
I would love to make a custom listing for you! If you like one of my pieces but need a few tweaks, let me know! I can work with you to design a custom item that will be truly unique.

Looking for bridesmaids gifts? Many of my items can be made in small quantities based upon the complexity of the design and the supplies I have in stock. Send me a message to inquire about a specific piece!

How custom orders work:

You contact me with a description of an idea or inspiration photos including the following information
- Price range you're willing to spend
- Desired chain length, or earring drop
- Desired material (ie. Gold Filled, Sterling Silver, Gold/Silver Plate)
- Clasp/ Earring Back Preference
- Date you need it delivered by

Once I have these details I can get to work drawing a sketch and working up a price which I will then send to you for approval. At this time I will also be able to give you a more accurate idea of how long it will take to create your item.

This is a perfect time to make changes! I encourage you to ask questions and make clarifications so that we both can be absolutely positive that I understand what you are looking for.

Once you have approved the design, I will create a Custom listing for you for the full amount of the order. Orders must be paid in full before I will start work on the item(s).

Adjustments/add ons made after this point may be subject to an extra charge if redesign/additional materials are required.

When the piece is completed I will take detailed photographs to send to you to make sure it is exactly what you desired and make any final tweaks and adjustments.

Approval of the final detailed photos is official approval of the design. No more amendments can be made or rejections accepted on grounds of disliking design, materials used, size etc after the final approval and signed off and in the mail.

When I put it in the mail I will send you confirmation and tracking for your order.
