About

Making Crackling Wood Wick Soy Candles for you to enjoy year round.

In late 2018, Megan told Brian that she wished to make candles. For Christmas of 2018, Megan received some materials to begin and the rest is history.

We seek to make a 100% Soy Candle that is clean burning, eco-friendly, and visually pleasing, using our wood wicks to give the candles the unique cracking, homemade feel.

Frequently asked questions
Why do you use soy wax?

I choose to work with soy wax for a variety of reasons. I love that it's an all-natural and eco-friendly alternative to paraffin. I love that using soy wax allows me to create candles that burn cleaner, brighter and longer than traditional paraffin candles. I love that soy wax is also 100% biodegradable and can be cleaned easily with soap and water. And I love that the wax I use is produced here in the USA and helps to support American agriculture.

Do you use essential oils in your candles?

While I love essential oils, fragrance oils are better suited for use in candles. The fragrance oils I use are designed specifically for candles. They burn safely, consistently and give off a better scent throw than essential oils would.

How fragrant are your candles?

I always use the maximum amount of fragrance recommended by the wax manufacturer in all of my candles. I also search for and offer only the strongest, most realistic fragrances I can find. Because I use natural soy wax, my candles will not have the same scent throw as paraffin candles. The more subtle fragrance of soy candles is great if you tend to get headaches from paraffin candles (like I used to).

I find that my candles fill a medium-large size room nicely. For very large spaces or rooms with high ceilings, I recommend burning two candles to achieve a similar scent throw.

What is the best way to burn a soy candle?

For best results, please be sure to follow these guidelines each and every time you burn one of my candles.

• Keep your wick centered and trimmed to 1/4”
• Allow the candle to burn for 2 – 4 hours each time you light it
• Always place the candle on a heat resistant surface when burning it
• Keep candles away from children, pets, drafts & flammable objects
• Do not move the candle while it is burning or if the wax is liquid
• Never leave a burning candle unattended

How do I clean out my jars to reuse them?

After your candle has burned down to the bottom, you can easily clean your jar to recycle or reuse throughout your home. Remove and discard the metal wick tab in the bottom of the jar and then wash the jars in warm, soapy water to remove any remaining wax residue.

PLEASE NOTE: The lids on my candles are NOT food-grade and should be used for decorative purposes only.
