The only shop that has hats tested by the University of Tennessee's Audiology program! They found little to no interference on hearing devices from our hats.

Hearing aid pilot caps.
There's a need in the hearing impaired community, especially among children and their families, for special caps. Ones that will keep curious hands and mouths away from hearing aids and cochlear implants.

I've designed a special cap, working hand-in-hand with mom and tot, with all the features necessary to eliminate feedback, to keep curious hands at bay, and to keep caps on and comfortable to support increased listening time.

Customer Testimony:
From A. "The caps are wonderful! We went from about 2 hours of wear a day to 10+ and we can see improvement because she "has her ears on!" Thank you Tonya for helping to meet our needs :)"

About

I started sewing for myself. It branched out to sewing for others.

How did Anchor Your Hearing begin? It began with a request to help a fellow mom out with her child. To try and maintain some sanity with a little one with hearing aids. I sent her some hats with different features. She tested them out, gave me feedback and Anchor Your Hearing was born.

I appreciate you checking out my shop and seeing what I have to offer. I love custom orders and have many fabrics available. Try me!

Thanks for your time.

Hi! I'm so glad you found me! These specially designed caps have features that make them a little different from the standard pilot caps that you see which make them great for little ones and their hearing devices.
Sometimes when creating an order, we need to substitute a coordinating fabric for the binding of the hat. It is always a solid color, and will match the fabric. Thanks for understanding!

Accepted payment methods

Shipping
I ship anywhere! I ship First Class USPS and First Class International. Unfortunately, shipping costs increased quite a bit on January 17, 2016.
I can ship up to seven hats in one order without having to increase your shipping! Convo me for shipping costs on larger orders.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refund policy as follows:
Refund/Replacement must be requested within 10 days of delivery.

Replacement of same color and size given for any defect on my part.
Replacement given for wrong size hat-- it is crucial that you measure your child's head before ordering. I can not be held responsible for hats that don't fit because you guessed the child's size. These hats have lots of stretch but also are very fitted to eliminate little hands to fit under the hat.

You need to be able to ship me the hat back so I can see any issues.
Additional policies and FAQs
Measuring for a custom pilot hat-
Take a measurement right where the doctor does at your well visit, right where a crown would sit and use that to best choose the size. On every listing is a picture of where you need to measure. If you don't have a measuring tape, you can always use a string or piece of paper, then measure on a flat ruler.

Using Anchor Your Hearing caps--
Sometimes the ties are long! You may find them too long for your needs. There's an easy fix. These ties are easily changed-- untie the knot at the end and cut to your desired length. Then, retie the knot and you've got a custom hat that works best for your child!
