Such a cool little clutch purse, even better in person. This seller always stocks high quality items for reasonable prices. It is always such a treat to purchase from this shop!

Hunting for treasures in French France, in the Auvergne region.

OOH la la, the beginning of my shop feels like a long time ago now!
I had recently had my first boy and was a bit bored of just 'mummy'ing', (truth be told!!), combined with finding ourselves in France, (we arrived here via South America with no money and not much more of a plan?!) and suddenly being surrounded by gorgeous old treasures which we had to sell on and share!
So I started with gorgeous little antique cups, buttons, laces, scarves, smaller items I guess. My first order was to someone in the UK, two beautiful black antique cups, and I dropped them, fully packaged and ready to send, so SAD!
So, it has grown from that. We go to vide greniers, ( empty attic) or brocantes, antique fairs and marche aux puces ( flea markets), here there and everywhere. During the summer each village hosts a Vide Grenier, where all peoples 'junk' is laid out on the pavements and we get to rummage for treasures! Then there is local music and local cuisine, so all in all, usually a good day out! ( a video of one of these events coming soon!)
Last year a local vide grenier fair , put on a stint bike show, for variety!
Anyway, one of the hardest things to do is to make the decision of what to buy! there are so many lovely things, but of course I have to weigh up price and who will buy it and when!
Also I often ending up keeping way too many lovely antique things.
A little note about this part of France: it's very ,mountainous ,the locals are very friendly, sometimes a little shy, very proud of their cuisine and most people have their own vegetable garden. We have plenty of snow in winter and lovely sun in the summer, the seasons are good and we follow the sports along the way. Petanque or boules is the big game here, all local squares have a group of men playing, whilst drinking plenty of pastis!
One of the things I love about France are the local plan d'eau s. They are public lakes, where all can go and swim and relax, they usually have sport facilities and cafes nearby too.
and of course the red wine! Never let us forget the delicious and bountiful red wine!
so Merci and A bientot!

This is Trevor,he's the one with the hand skills. His main work is as an antiques restorer, which is mainly furniture and some smaller objects, he comes in handy when I need something sprucing up! Sometimes he can be useful to lift heavy things too!

how nice of you to visit us!
We love finding beautiful old items around where we live, one of the brilliant things about France is that old things are cherished and cared for, so we visit Brocantes, which are like Aladdin's caves and also some Vide Greniers during the summer.
There are many more unusual items which we often come across, so if you're looking for something more specific please let us know and we'll try and help out.

Our preference is payment by paypal. If you experience any problems or have questions during the payment process, please contact me immediately via convo or email at pinknomad [!at]
Item will be shipped once payment is complete.

We cannot accept cheques or money orders as the bank charges for an item drawn on an overseas bank are very high!
We post out three times a week. However if your parcel is more urgent then we can of course make an exception.
PLEASE NOTE: For items $40 or under, We use the ECONOMIC rate of shipping from France as the international post from here is very expensive, so to make it as cheap as possible for you we use the above postal option, however with this postage option...I only refund 50% if it unfortunately doesn't arrive... IF you wish for it to be sent on a higher tariff such as, express priority post, please ask and that's no problem, we can adjust the rate on your final invoice.
For items above $40 I use either Secur'Export which gives you a tracking number or Recommande postage which gives you tracking and insurance and therefore a full refund...if after six weeks it hasn't arrived.....
Please be aware that items are 'vintage' or 'antique' and are sold "as is". Wear and tear is both inevitable (and desirable!) - therefore each piece may have flaws, dents or scratches. We will always point out and photograph, anything that is noticeable. We always try to buy our items, in the best possible condition but as vintage, they are often not perfect.

We always endeavour to describe things as best we can, and can usually list additional photographs for you to consider before buying. If you have any questions please ask. Dating items accurately can be tricky and we try as hard as possible, to be exact but we cannot be responsible for any errors, ( we are human!)so please make your own independent inquiries.

If you wish us to include a note and send it as a gift to a third party then please just send us a message about it and we can do that no problem.
I try to use recycled packaging wheresoever possible, all delicate items are wrapped and boxed with great care and protection.
Refunds and Exchanges
Obviously our items are vintage ware and therefore although have stood the test of time are not always perfect, which is the way we like them! ( I like the term: 'gently used'!) we try and be as accurate as possible with our descriptions and photos, however if you're unhappy with your purchase then we would accept reasonable in tact returns.
The buyer would be responsible for the postage of the return, then upon receipt of item we would offer a complete refund of your purchase price, not to include shipping. This policy is only valid if contact has been made within 1 week of receiving the item.

If an item is damaged in transit then upon we would require you to send accuarte photgraphic evidence and then we would refund your money.
Additional policies and FAQs
As mentioned above if you're looking for something very different or specific, we'd be happy to help, just give us time to find it!
