5 out of 5 starsA gorgeous, high quality sweater, that was well packaged and arrived quickly. The fuzzy merino on the inside is so cozy, and the woven merino inside the pockets is nice on your hands. Really lovely.

Care instructions
For our 100% royal alpaca products we recommend dry cleaning. In fact, many of modern, high-end washing machines can wash also alpaca woolen garments without any damage caused to fibers. And also hand-washing in cold water with special solvent could be done but there must be certain process with accent on low water temperature, avoiding any wring and many others.
So we decided for our 100% royal alpaca products we recommend only dry cleaning done by profesionals simply because there is much lower risk of any damage caused by wrong washing.
Sizing details
Please, think twice about size you choose before making order.
Our products are knitted, especially sweaters are made by thicker yarns and these are not so tightly knitted when we compare it with our hoodies.
What does it means?
Fabric is more flexible, more stretchy. This can cause little difference to size chart.
For example: In size chart can be one parameter 50cm, but this is an average value. So in reality your product can be +/- 1 cm in the same parameter as in size chart (49-50-51). Such a small differencies (up to 1cm) are not considered as fault.
Please, consider also fact that after first cleaning/washing your garment can shrink 1-3% in some ways. This is normal behavior after first cleaning/washing.
What is done by you?
I (Jan from AndeanJewel) do next steps in process:
1. looking for inspiration - it means I look for an inspiration for next product around me - people on the streets, internet, movies, TV whatever...
2. product design - when I finally have an inspiration it's time to sit down and make some pictures how it should look.
3. product development - when I have some first clear ideas how it will look, I must decide about material, color, sizing, type of knit, gg...
4. after making paterns and pre-production prototypes (not be me) I take closer look on it and if there is something I don't like, I must decide what/how to change it
5. after sucessful production of products I take care about your questions, orders and shipping.
This is done by me.
What means "royal alpaca" quality?
Royal alpaca quality means that fiber diameter is between 18-19 microns the finest fiber of huacaya alpacas. It represents 2% of total alpaca production and only very few producers have this quality grade used in their products.
We are one of them!
How Andean Jewel helps?
When you buy our product you support our charity mission in Peru. Andean Jewel started cooperation with PACOMARCA research center for alpacas in Peru. We have made a deal, that we will send part ouf our profit to our donation program. One of local alpaca breeder will get a TOP CLASS alpaca male stud - these studs are very rare, have high quality alpaca wool and will bring such qualities to his new herd. It means big progress for the breeder and his family, because he can earn much more by selling his wool prooduction.
