Materials:

For my costume jewellery I use all kinds of materials – glass beads, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, metal, sterling silver, .935 silver, bali silver, thai silver, felt, brass, bronze, bakelite, copper, horn, wood, shell… In the description of each piece I list the used materials to the best of my knowledge. Since I use various sources for buying my beads and metal parts I often can’t tell what they are made of (in which case I add a ? to the description). For the same reason I sadly can not guarantee that my pieces are nickel free. The colours of the photographic representations may slightly differ from the original pieces.

For stringing I use mostly nylon coated steel wire. Wire-wrapped pieces are, if not stated otherwise, made of sterling silver or .935 silver.

Sterling silver, .935 silver, bali silver, thai silver, brass, metal, copper and bronze will tarnish over time. This oxidation can usually be removed by using a jewellery cloth. Please do not put my jewellery in a silver bath or similar – especially not if semi-precious stones or freshwater pearls are used in the piece. These materials would be damaged by the silver bath.

In order to ensure that a piece of jewellery will remain in good condition please don’t wear it while taking a bath or shower, while swimming or doing the dishes. After wearing it you should carefully wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth.
