About

Silver Jewellery Handmade in England

I began making jewellery in 2005. We had just moved towns, and I worked in London but lived just outside it, and had no friends in my new town. I decided to do an evening course.

I worked in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London which, if you have never been, is fabulous, and stuffed to the brim with a huge range of objects taking in fashion, architecture, metalwork, sculpture, painting, and far far more. Being surrounding by beautiful things every day was really inspiring, and this helped to make my decision about what evening course to do.

And I loved it. And this shop is my way of sharing the things I make with you, and I hope you love them too.

Hello,

Thanks for coming to have a look at my store! If you have any questions please ask.

I make silver jewellery, and I really enjoy making one off pieces, often for friends with specific requirements, such as 'something with turquoise in it'!

I love the process of designing and making jewellery - the drawing of a design or laying out of beads; the sawing and hammering; the playing with fire; the twisting of wire; even the filing (sometimes!); and then the polishing, when the piece that has grown from a seed of an idea finally becomes real.

That is why, when I can, I include in my photos one 'work in progress' photo - so that you can join in this process, and see how the finished piece has grown!

I hope you like my work. If you have any questions, please ask.

I accept payment by paypal. Thanks!
Shipping
I aim to ship within two days of you paying for your item. If this is ever not possible, I will let you know as soon as I can.

I ship to the address listed on the Etsy invoice. If you want me to ship elsewhere, please put a message in Notes to Buyer.

In the UK this will be by first class mail, and if abroad it will be by airmail. I am happy to send by registered mail if requested, please convo me in order to find out how much extra this will cost.

I also aim to re-use and recycle as much external packaging that I receive as possible.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be as happy with your purchase as I was when I finished making it (and I wouldn't put it up for sale if I wasn't happy with it!)

Therefore, if it arrives damaged or is otherwise faulty (I don't expect this to be the case, but sometimes bad things happen to good packages) I am happy to refund or exchange the item.

If the item is not what you were expecting (?) I am also happy to refund, within 14 days, but do ask that you bear the cost of the postage back to me.
Additional policies and FAQs
I welcome custom orders, so if you see something you like but you want it in a different colour or size, please just ask me!

GUARANTEE
Each item I make is guaranteed against breakage for 1 year from the date of purchase. Obviously they should, and for the most part will, last much much longer than this, but if there is a problem with an item then please get in touch.

HALLMARKING
I have been looking into hallmarking issues. Under current UK hallmarking legislation, silver items over 7.78g have to be hallmarked. Under this weight they can be stamped with 925. None of my work listed here weighs more than 7.78g, and I will therefore be stamping items with 925 where appropriate - when done, this will always be included in the item description.
