After graduating with an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design Technology in 2009, I am now releasing my collection of DIY dressmaking patterns exclusively on Etsy!

All of my designs, patterns and instructions booklets are lovingly handmade by me. The patterns are given a difficulty rating out of 5, with 1/5 being very simple patterns suitable for beginners, while 5/5 patterns are challenging and more suited to someone with reasonable sewing experience. I hope that my designs will inspire you to have a go at making them for yourself.

Making your own clothes is inspiring; it’s more environmentally friendly than buying factory bought clothing; and it’s immensely creatively satisfying! Every pattern comes with a PDF book of fun and easy to follow instructions that would take you through every process of making your fabulous piece of clothing. The pattern itself is also sent to you as a PDF. All you need to do is print it off on your standard A4 colour home printer. You will need to stick the printed pages together for form your pattern. I know that’s a bit different to how you might usually get a pattern, but it’s really easy to stick the paper together to create your full sized pattern. Detailed instructions of how to put your pattern together and work out your size are included in the PDF instruction book. Every pattern comes in sizes 6-16, so when you receive you pattern, you will receive all 6 different sizes.

My aim is to inspire you to explore your own creativity and style through making your own clothes. I get so much joy out of sewing my own clothes and I want you to be able to experience that too! Many people I’ve spoken to who have wanted to sew their on clothes have found commercial patterns difficult to follow as they often assume you already have a basic knowledge of sewing. My patterns make no such assumptions and include a glossary of the basic stitches and techniques you will need to sew you garment.

My designs aim to capture the femininity and grace of the wearer - you! I am inspired by quality fabrics, unusual prints and vintage styling and techniques. I have a handful of dresses that used to be my Gran's and yet the quality of the fabric, designs and workmanship mean that I treasure and regularly wear those dresses now. I hope that you will give it a go and create your very own treasured pieces of clothing that will continue to inspire you for a long time to come.

Not at all! You just print the pattern with your own A4 colour printed and then stick the pages together following the instructions in the booklet.

Do I need to print off the booklet too?
That's completely up to you! You can certainly print if off on your own A4 colour printer if you want to have a hard copy of the book. But if you want to save paper, you can just read the instructions from your computer without printing them off.

Yes, I make everything myself in my little studio.
