Happy 2023! Thank you for supporting handmade. <3 Follow me on Instagram to see what I'm working on and to get advance notice of shop updates. If you are looking for a special item that you don't see in the shop, please convo me to ask. It may well be something that is in progress in my studio already.
The holiday season was busy and good to Angry Goat, so inventory counts are quite low. Over the next few months, I will be hard at work making new pieces to restock some of your favorite items and introducing some new ideas that I've got up my sleeve so that you have plenty of pretty things to choose from. If you are buying a gift here, I am happy to send a handmade card in the package -- just include what you would like it to say in the order notes, and send me a convo if you have any questions or need more information about a certain item. I hope you will find that a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special in your life, or perhaps something to love and call your own.
If you are planning to be in the area, I'd love to have you visit my studio to pick up your order -- curbside, touch-free. BEFORE YOU PURCHASE, please send me a message for pickup arrangements.
Again, thank you for supporting handmade. It literally means the world to me. <3

4 out of 5 starsThe ornament is cute. My one complaint is that it hangs crooked with the head of the goat tipping downwards. The seller should consider inserting the wire hanger closer to the neck of the goat so it is more properly balanced.

5 out of 5 starsI bought three ornaments, they're already hanging on our tree and I love them all! Dawn was amazing and offered me a shipping fee refund for the option to pick up the ornaments locally. So happy with my purchases!

Why not go for bowls folded origami-style? Squared off & elevated on tiny feet, these bowls are functional art.

Have you ever met an angry goat?
People routinely ask me how I came up with the name “Angry Goat” Pottery. Well, most potters leave a mark on each piece to identify the piece as their own. Casting about for my own mark, I wanted it to reflect something about me personally and to connect with other parts of my life. At home we run a small hobby farm and among our critters are six dwarf Nigerian Goats who have to be the sweetest and funniest creatures possible. Are they angry? – no, never – if anything, they are playful, silly, really ridiculous beasts that make us laugh each and every day. Since I love whimsy and have a dry, ironic sense of humor, my mark and the name of my shop were born.
I started making pottery as a teenager and the mud was in my blood! :) I learned to throw on the wheel and to handbuild - I couldn't get enough. Life moved on, as it does, and making pottery went by the wayside, but it never left my heart. Eventually I made my way back to clay when my amazing husband gifted me with a functional pottery class with Nathan Webb of Two Potters – also found on Etsy, I might add – and I haven't left the studio since!
I live and work in the funky railroad town of White River Junction, VT, and I've volunteered as a monitor for a local community pottery studio keeping the studio running and helping students with their projects, I opened my home studio in 2016, and launched Angry Goat Pottery on Etsy in December of that year -- and I haven't looked back!
My hope for my pottery is that it will be beautiful as well as functional, and will bring art and joy to your home as it does to mine. I hope you will love it as much as I love making it. My hope for my Etsy shop is that it will give me an outlet for my creative side and all of the pottery I can hope and dream to make, while allowing me to make enough to support myself as a mostly-stay-at-home mom of my best-ever family!
