Announcement    November has arrived in Vermont and brought with it our first morning blanketed in snow! We are busy working to finish up the last of the winter prep on the farm, and my studio is jammed with projects for my next shop update. Follow me on Instagram @angrygoatpottery6632 for advance notice on shop updates, a sneak peak at new work, and life on our tiny Vermont farm.

Holiday shopping is already in full swing(!), and I am shipping loads of pottery all over the country for home and gifts. There are lots of pretty new items in the shop for you to browse, and if you have something in mind that you don't see in the shop, please convo me to ask if it might be on my work list!

Vermont remains a safe haven during these days of Covid-19, and I hope you and yours are able to stay safe too. Our thoughts are with everyone during this strange and stressful time! I thank you all for your support of my art, especially now. I assure you that I am taking every reasonable sanitary precaution in handling the pieces that leave my studio because I want my packages to arrive with you with the same excitement and promise of cherished things to come as always! If you want to be extremely conservative, you may choose to leave your shipment unopened for an extended period, per any current recommendation from the CDC as may be available. If you have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to reach out and convo me to ask!

As always, if you need a special gift, or a unique piece for a hostess or housewarming present, I have beautiful items on-hand that are ready to ship. If you see something you like but wish it was a little different in color or design, message me about what you have in mind. I hope you will find something to love and call your own, or a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special in your life.

If you are planning to be in the area, I'd love to have you visit my studio to pick up your order curbside. Use coupon "LOCAL" to avoid shipping charges.

Thank you for stopping by!

About AngryGoatPottery

Sales 408
On Etsy since 2016

Have you ever met an angry goat?

People routinely ask me how I came up with the name “Angry Goat” Pottery. Well, most potters leave a mark on each piece to identify the piece as their own. Casting about for my own mark, I wanted it to reflect something about me personally and to connect with other parts of my life. At home we run a small hobby farm and among our critters are six dwarf Nigerian Goats who have to be the sweetest and funniest creatures possible. Are they angry? – no, never – if anything, they are playful, silly, really ridiculous beasts that make us laugh each and every day. Since I love whimsy and have a dry, ironic sense of humor, my mark and the name of my shop were born.
I started making pottery as a teenager and the mud was in my blood! :) I learned to throw on the wheel and to handbuild - I couldn't get enough. Life moved on, as it does, and making pottery went by the wayside, but it never left my heart. Eventually I made my way back to clay when my amazing husband gifted me with a functional pottery class with Nathan Webb of Two Potters – also found on Etsy, I might add – and I haven't left the studio since!

I live and work in the funky railroad town of White River Junction, VT, and I've volunteered as a monitor for a local community pottery studio keeping the studio running and helping students with their projects, I opened my home studio in 2016, and launched Angry Goat Pottery on Etsy in December of that year -- and I haven't looked back!

My hope for my pottery is that it will be beautiful as well as functional, and will bring art and joy to your home as it does to mine. I hope you will love it as much as I love making it. My hope for my Etsy shop is that it will give me an outlet for my creative side and all of the pottery I can hope and dream to make, while allowing me to make enough to support myself as a mostly-stay-at-home mom of my best-ever family!
