About

Unique Handmade Wearable Art

ANIDEM what does it mean?
Well ever since I created my first piece in my very first class I stamped the word anidem in the back. I didn't know how far this new hobby, was going to take me but I knew that if I ever had a jewelry line it would be called anidem.
Anidem is my late mother’s last name spelled backwards. I come from a Mexican family. Born in Mexico where everyone uses two last names (fathers and mothers) and as you might've notice I still do that. I grew up with a mother that knitted and crocheted day and night and I like to think that I inhered some of her artistry, so I decided to honor her using her last name.
I was lucky to set my own studio after only 2 years of taking classes and making jewelry once a week (in school). I decided that I wanted to create pieces everyday and knew I needed to take the step and invest in setting up my own studio. It was not easy or cheap but I'm grateful everyday that I was able to do it.
I love being in my studio and time just flies by, hopefully some day I can dedicate myself 100% to my studio and my jewelry making but for now I'm happy to do it as much as I can. I'm a professional hair dresser and that is my full time job which I enjoy but after 14 years I am ready to switch from full time to part time hair dresser, hopefully soon.
I create all of my pieces in my studio and all of them are 100%made by me. Some of my favorite materials to work with include copper, brass, silver natural stones and found objects. I aimed to created unique pieces that represent who I am.
Besides making all of the jewelry I also take the photographs, ship, make orders, clean, sell, buy and everything else in my studio. Basically I'm running a one man show and I love every minute of it.
Thanks for taking time to read a little about me and I hope you like and enjoy my creations as much as I like and enjoy making them.

I Run A One Man Show. I'm The Owner, Disigner, Creator, Maker, Photographer, Seller, Buyer And Everything Else.

I started making jewelry a couple of years ago. I have always been somewhat creative and I've tried a lot of things such as dancing (dance for 12 years) Drawing, Painting but after taking my first metalsmithing class I knew I had found my calling.

Welcome to Anidem Jewelry, thanks for stopping by my shop. First let me tell you a little about me and my shop.
My name is Jesse Torres-Medina, Did you notice that?
(Anidem = Medina) yes my mom’s last name is Anidem when spell backwards and that is where I got my shops name.
I’ve been making jewelry for about five years. I love making jewelry and I hope I can do it for a long time to come. I started taking metal-smithing classes as a hobby and after a year or two people started telling me to that I should sell my stuff. After a couple years resisting I decided to give it a try, so here I am. I hope you like my pieces and better yet I hope you decide to make one or two of my pieces you own.
Once again thanks for stopping by and please read on, you’ll find info about my policies, my shipping and a couple of other things. If after all this reading you still have a question please fell free to contact me I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Additional policies and FAQs
Costume pieces?
I do, as long as I have or can get the materials I need. Like I said before I use a lot of found objects and sometime is impossible to find two of the same object. As long as I have everything I need then there should be no problem. Also know that when reproducing a piece, it might look slightly different that the original.
