Items are gorgeous and incredibly-reasonable in price. Shipping was fast and cheap. Artist was a joy to deal with. If there were a perfect platonic ideal of an Etsy store, this would be it.

Anima Metals is a store that showcases my enamel jewelry. Enamels are all handmade by me, carefully mixing together powdered glass and metal to create wearable artwork.

Enameling is a technique dating back to the ancient world. Treasured by royalty from Egypt and Mesopotamia for its vibrance and beauty, enameling is the colorful result of fusing glass to metal in a high temperature kiln.

These pieces are created by the artist one layer of finely sifted glass at a time. Once these layers are formed, the final touches are handpainted on, and then fired for completion. Each piece is a unique work of art, created in the spirit of ancient artisans, and the artifacts they forged from metal and glass.

There's actually a ton of different metalworking and enameling techniques that I use in my creations, so look to the description for each piece if you're curious about the process. Generally speaking though, each of these pieces is enamel, glass on metal, that's fired in a kiln at 1450F. If there are beads included, they tend to be semi-precious stones, often faceted. If there are other findings, they tend to be sterling silver.

All of my designs are original, and handmade by me. I love making jewelry, and in addition to my own vision I do enjoy custom work! See my policies on custom work below.

Feel free to ask me any questions! I'm still new to this Etsy thing, so please don't hesitate if you don't see something, or if you're curious.
